To tell you the truth, I find tattoos to be a bit risky; you can't get rid of them without considerable pain.

I'm not sure how this mania for tattoos started---but I believe it started around the 1990s.

I know...I sound like a craggy old man LOL

In the 1960s, only sailors had tattoos.

Or maybe construction workers, come to think of it.

Usually, it would consist of "Mom," or a woman's name, along with a heart with an arrow going through it

Obviously my situation is different to yours but as long as I get help for whats wrong me and a correct Dx you could tattoo that Dx on my forehead , my anxieties have always been centered around worrying what I perceive others think I have , a tattoo would eliminate that anxiety

 I look forward to seeing that tattoo!

I'd have to get rid of this one first

There is the tendency for "rough" men to greatly admire their mothers.

Only "rough" men had tattoos in the 1960s.

Yep.

It was considered low-class to have a tattoo then.

Sailors, construction workers, people in "blue-collar" jobs in general.

I know they are.

It's not what I think---it's what THEY thought back then.
