A bully was once throwing pine cones at me so I ran and he claimed he hit me at the back of my head and I said "No you didn't." He said he got me and I told him he did not or else I'd feel it. He said I didn't feel a thing because I got no brains up there to feel it. As an adult I realize is it possible he may have gotten me and I was too hypersensitive to even feel it?

I can't answer that, but that does remind me of an incident in the childhood of Peanuts creator Charles Schultz, a probable Aspie, who was pelted repeatedly by his as*hole cousin.
I know it doesn't pertain to the subject at hand, but you just reminded me of it.

That would not annoy me in the least. I would be delirious with joy to learn someone had been studying my specific special interest. We could talk about it for hours and hours and it would be fascinating...

19.) Insist that they must love prime numbers because they are autistic, even when they explain to you that primes annoy them.

20.) Say, "Oh, I'm SO sorry," like they just told you their grandmother died.

21.) Prattle on about how they're sure you'll "overcome" your autism and be a perfectly normal person some day.

22.) Talk to whoever they're with, as though they weren't there.

23.) Put their face about two inches from yours to "force you to pay attention" and grab your chin to "pull you into the Real World". Do this after having just eaten garlic for lunch. Complain when they wiggle out of your grasp and bolt for the nearest non-smelly, non-grabby location.

21, 22, and 23 are spot on, good sir.

That was a rhetorical question.

As I had stated, I know it didn't pertain much to the subject at hand. Just reminded me of the late Charles Schultz.

471) Try to convert people to your religion but do not go into a detailled discussion on theology with me when it happens to be my special interest.

472) refuse to correct my English when I ask about it.

473. Sit next to an Aspie on a bench at a bus stop. Notice that they are reading. Start tapping your fingers on the back of the bench to cause an annoying vibration, while singing fragments of songs. Keep glancing hopefully at the reader, hoping for interaction when they clearly don't want it.

474. Walk past while talking on a cell phone, and throw a random greeting at them which they aren't expecting because they thought you were talking on the phone.

475. Start talking in an aisle at the supermarket without making eye contact, then get offended if the Aspie doesnt reply, because they thought you were talking to yourself.

And the corollary:

476: When using a Bluetooth earpiece, walk towards and make eye contact with the Aspie while enthusiastically saying "Hi - hello there" into the phone.

Um, wouldn't it be a deafness organization? In general, the blind can hear without a problem, and frequently have better developed senses of hearing to compensate for the loss of sight....

(Insert correct number here, because I have no idea)
Tell him/ her everyone has problems, and he/ she is really not so different from everyone else. Add that if he/ she just learned to respect/ believe in him/ herself, things would improve significantly, because his/ her biggest problem is lack of confidence. :wall:

EXACTLY

I lived in an apartment building for elderly and disabled. The building had industrial strength fire alarms that could be heard many city blocks away, and the strobe lights caused multiple seizures for one lady down the hall, who had epilepsy. It caused me many meltdowns. When I complained about the volume of the alarm, the manager of the building would grin like a Cheshire cat and say that at least it was effective. I finally offered to contact the Board of Health and have them do a decibel measure. They turned the volume down.
