7. Face blindness / Prosopagnosia test: The Cambridge Face Memory test (faceblind.org).
Prosopagnosia, also called face blindness, is an impairment in the recognition of faces. Everyone sometimes has trouble recognizing faces. Prosopagnosia is much more severe than these everyday problems that everyone experiences. Prosopagnosics often have difficulty recognizing people that they have encountered many times. In extreme cases, prosopagnosics have trouble recognizing even those people that they spend the most time with such as their spouses and their children.
The average score on this test is 80% correct, you're face blind if you score 65% correct or lower.
Take the Cambridge Face Memory test

Yey! I had 70 of 72 faces. 97%. I'm not faceblind. But I already knew that.

Aspie Quiz: 114 Aspie / 96 NT
(wife does Aspie Quiz on my behalf: 133 Aspie / 68 NT
AQ: 31 & 35 (last time, just now)
EQ 27 / SQ 86 (Extreme Systemising)
EIQ: 90 (27th percentile)
Reading Eyes: 23 (low end of average) - guessed a few!
Face-blind?: 59/72 - 82%, so no.
HSP: 11.
BAP score (sniggers slightly...): 88 aloof, 103 rigid and 92 pragmatic. You may be either on the broader autistic phenotype, or in fact autistic.

Couldn't really focus when looking at the six faces [noise and poor light] and choose some wrong options. Is this timed?
Going to do this again, the cut off is 65%

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 45.
In other words, you got 63% correct.

Thanks Scientist,
that was helpful, not sure what to "make of it" though.
Maybe you guys can weigh in and give me pointers.

I took all 7 tests:

BAP 82 on aloof
96 on rigid
87on pragmatic

AQ: 30 (32 is considered "autistic")

EIQ: 77 (kinda low , range 55 to 155)

EQ SQ-R: EQ: 28
SQ: 92

HSP: 25 out of 27 checked ( tha's not technically a "score" but whatever, i'm high on it)

Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test: 32 (over 30 is "highly accurate" at decoding facial expressions)

Cambridge Face Memory Test: 97% ( 70 out of 72 correct)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know if the last two counter-indicate autism or not.
I've suspected for few years now that I'm autistic to some degree.
I have stereotypies, fascinated with numbers, don't do well in social situations ( unless I try really hard ! )

If you guys have any comments or suggestions I would like to hear from you !
Thanks guys !

I only took the AQ test and the eye one. I'll try to do the other ones when I have more time, though I won't join any dating site just for a test.

AQ: 44 eep I know I'm weird but is that bad?
Eyes: 34 that's really accurate. I guess I'm good at reading the eyes if I can be bothered to look at them. But then I was an artist and have drawn thousands of pair of eyes, maybe it's training instead of natural instinct.

that took a long time but I did all of them. some surprises.

I thought I had trouble recognizing faces, but I score average on that. My real problem is connecting a face with a name and a context. I always KNOW I've seen the face before, but I can never remember who they are or where I met them! I did low average on the eyes test but some of them I was totally guessing and I wondered if they showed the same eyes over and over again with different choices.

I already knew I was way too sensitive person and scored almost "perfectly" LOL on that one.

The EIQ was disappointing. or not. I guess I function way better than I realize because I was at the 1st percentile for that one and the description for that score sounded like a real loser.

Apparentely I am an extreme systemitizer (scored 128 or something like that) and have almost no empathy ( scored 11).

Score very high on the BAP too, most likely an aspie on the AQ

That was all very interesting!

OK, I talked to a couple of psychiatrists and psychologists that I know at work about these tests and asked them if they thought I could be ASD based on their interactions with me over several years of working together, and they said "no way", but I score autistic on all the tests, and feel like so many of the tories that people talk about on these fporums are just like me.

One of the doctors I talked to said that high IQ people often score high on the diagnostic tests for autism because high IQ by itself is an abnormality. I know I have a high IQ from testing done in elementary school ( testing done because I was so wierd and didn't fit in BTW) Does anyone think that could be a valid statement and that many high IQ people will score autistic on those tests?

Well, the tests aren't diagnostic - at best they're screening tools.

Now I'm curious as to how people with high IQ score on those tests. I doubt they score as autistic.

Aspie quiz score: Aspie, 153 of 200, NT score: 58 of 200. You are very likely an Aspie

Cambridge Faceblindness: 72% correct

Couldn't finish the eye test. Ugh.

EIQ: Snapshot Report:

Subscale IQ Score - 73
Subscale Percentile - 4%

'According to your self-report answers, your emotional intelligence is very poor. People who score like you do feel that they have trouble dealing with their own emotions and those of others. They struggle to overcome difficulties in their lives and they are unable to control their moods. It's hard for them to understand how best to motivate themselves and reach their goals. In addition, they find social interactions quite difficult, for several reasons. They may have trouble allowing themselves to get close with others, finding it difficult to be vulnerable enough to establish intimacy. They also report having trouble offering support to others, likely due to the fact that they do not understand where others are coming from or they lack ideas about how best to help. Perhaps by working on your problem areas, you can become more confident in dealing with your own emotions and those of others.'

I thought I at least did better than THAT. Makes me seem like a nasty robot.

1.) BAPQ: Autistic/BAP 123 aloof - 126 rigid - 102 pragmatic

2.) AQ: 46 (I took it on facebook before and got a 35; this time I tried to answer based on what I naturally like to do, not what I force myself to do)

3.) EQ: 17, SQ: 83 => Extreme Systemizer
I found this interesting because supposedly 0% of females are extreme systemizers.

4.) EIQ: 108 or 70th percentile. It said according to my self-report, my emotional intelligence was not extremely good. That really shocked and frustrated me. I thought I was great. Personally, I love my life; I guess it was my lack of feeling comfortable comforting people or knowing how effective certain solutions were.... IDK?

5.) HSP: 23 were true of me (14 or more is likely aspergers)

6.) Reading the Mind in the Eyes test: I scored 26 -- average for an NT. I thought I was great; but apparently I'm average. I had to tell myself what to look for, though. It wasn't all instinctive.

7.) The Cambridge Face Memory test: I got 88% or 63 of the 72 faces right. Average NT is 80%. So I'm pretty proud. :)

8.) The Aspie Quiz: Aspie score was 135 of 200; NT was 91 of 200. "[I am] very likely an Aspie" they said :) lol

1.) BAPQ: Autistic/BAP
111% on aloof, higher than 60%
93% on rigid, higher than 47%
109% on pragmatic, higher than 83%

2.) AQ: 44/50

3.) EQ: 8, SQ: 110 => Extreme Systemizer

4.) EIQ: 67 or 1th percentile.

5.) HSP: 19 == hyper sensitive, extremly to sound

6.) Reading the Mind in the Eyes test: 23, most of them I had no idea, probably got lucky

7.) The Cambridge Face Memory test: 85%, but I'm good with details, so for me it has nothing to do with faces, just image memory

8.) The Aspie Quiz: Aspie score : 147 of 200;
NT was 63 of 200.

I have not been diagnosed by a specialist yet, but recent trouble in my life got me to do an introspection, so I did some test over the internet. With the result I got, I believe it's obvious I'm an aspie, are those test reliable??? I recognise myself a lot with the ADD overfocused pathology, woud those test be sufficient to distinguish ADD vs AS?
