I was once molested, although I wasn't technically raped. I don't think that I really want to talk about it in full detail. Explaining what happened won't undo the event, and it will only make me feel worse, not better.

I'm aja675 in that thread. Along with that "People obsessed with your flaws'' thread in this forum and themasscommpost.tumblr.com, it paints a portrait of how my bullying was like.

Truth be told, that's why any of us post! :) :) :)

It's nice to be part of a community (even with conflicting opinions & personalities) if only because there is going to be someone here who is likely to understand some aspect of you that few others do.

You're right.

You see, someone made this post implying my bullies were immature and pathetic. It really helped me, because I couldn't see them as anything else but people who were being judgmental for a reason: because they were better than me in some ways.

The worst thing has been when someone would badmouth me behind my back and turn other people against me, all while I didn't know it was going on, so I got a nasty surprise from it. That has happened several times in my life and I think I will probably always be paranoid about it.

I'm still angry about being bullied throughout my childhood. The worst thing a bully ever did to me was pretend to be my friend. This has happened countless times. It's led to me being afraid to make and keep friends because I'm worried they'll ditch me or kick me out of the group when I no longer have something they want. Or if I do try to maintain contact, I feel like I'm constantly bartering for my right to be friends with them. That's way worse than the kids who threw rocks at me or knocked my books into puddles. At least I knew they were jerks and not worth my time.

I've learned that even the silliest insults could be hurtful when they're repeated all over and over again.

The insults that were hurled at me shouldn't bother anyone above the age of 15, but these insults still bothered me all the way until 19.

Same here. It adds up. And even the most trivial insults can really strike deep when I'm already feeling down about something.

Personally, I'm still recovering because my bullies only got out of my life earlier this year in March.

The worst I've had it was my peers throwing junk me...

Basically, in my high school Geometry class, we had a sub on the day we were all taking a test, and since Mathematics was never my strong suit, it took me longer to finish mine.

Well, some of the kids in the back thought it would be hilarious to start egging me on by throwing stuff at me... Yeah, you know those mini-pencil sharpeners that some kids like to keep at their desks? Yeah, had one of those thrown at me, too.

It was bad enough not being able to fight back for myself, but what did the sub do? Not a freaking thing. She just sat there reading her stupid little book and just didn't care.

Once our teacher came back, I immediately told her, and she told me that she would have a word with them later. To be honest, I have no idea if she ended up speaking to them or not, plus she didn't seem too concerned about me after I told her.

One of the worst Fridays of my life...

Only really bullied once by somebody in my own grade (verbally - she and friends would call out to me 'Hi, best friend!' and laugh at me when I got confused, because she wasn't even my friend). I am kind to everybody in my grade (help them with school work etc.), and most of them respect me anyway, because they think I am a genius. Also, I have no part in the hierarchical structure of the cohort, and don't care what my peers think of me (teachers are more important), so they don't really bother.

I grades one and two, I was bullied by two girls in the year above, who told me constantly, 'My father has a real gun, and I'm going to bring it to school one day and shoot you in the head and you're going to die.' I did not have the social skills to answer them at all.

More recently, I have been bullied (by a large group of girls two years older) who would yell out to me, 'Hello, <my name>!' or other salutations, and would laugh at my confusion as I tried to work out who they were, how they knew me etc. They would repeat this several times a day.

When I was twelve I couldn't find my trousers after a sports lesson. I searched the changing room while several of the other boys sniggered. The rest of the boys left and I was pretty much left alone. I found my trouser in a communal urinal soaked in urine.
