when I was in the army, it seemed plain to me that the healthiest folks [overall] were the ones who were either wiry, or built like fireplugs. those folks were indestructible and never seemed to get injured or sick.

I see no purpose in concerts, or fandom of celebrities in general. Seriously, why fawn over someone who you will never know, who will never know you, and whose work will never impact your life at all.

This distaste also extends into team sports. I can tolorate america ninja warrior, but football's pointlessness is only exceeded by the absurdity of its fans' devotion.

I disagree that someone's work won't have an impact on your life. I can think of a few situations where someone's work has had an impact on a personal level with me.

I didn't mean to imply that no artists with impactful work exist. But 10,000,000 people talking about what that person's love life is like, or fighting for a chance (or spending $300) to see in person the same thing they can hear on pandora or watch on youtube is silly. I didn't mean there is no art worth appreciation.

Similarly, people talking at televisions (or even yelling from the sidelines) in an attempt to sway the outcome of a game other people are playing boggles me. And then people get uset if "my team" loses, as though it reflects on them somehow. Makes no sense.

I don't get the whole "carnivores are evil" thing. So an animal is evil for doing what it was born to do? Carnivorous animals are the best. :)

I find all this talk of "vores" to be terribly offensive. We should all be using the more polite term, "Persons who eat."

Oh dear, that might offend future potential robot denizens of Earth or of other planets. Or sentient plats which produce food without eating. We will simply not be able to identify any subgroup of existence or non-existence with a label, I am afraid.
