You know you're an aspie if, in high school, you noticed that your teacher put up a new, colourful Periodic Table in the class, and the first words that come out of your mouth are, "Oh my god, what a sexy Periodic Table," with terrible glee.

I'm a very clean guy, cleanliness is even one of my obsessions. But I feel very much comfortable with wearing the same clothes. I can use the same pajamas ( I just love the feeling of pajamas ) for an entire month. Thanks goodness I don't smell bad!

I use the same shirt for up to 5 days in a row go to to work, and even get to sleep with them many times. I just check if it seems kind of ironed, if it's ok ( for my perception at least ) I just go with that one to work.

I actually feel much more comfortable wearing the same clothes. I always wear shorts regardless of the weather. I have to wash my clothes a lot but it works out.

YMBAA if you really wish people naturally had a special brain, where they can hear and follow the TV programmes at the same time as listening to you rabbiting on about your obsessions and anxieties - then you won't be told to ''be quiet and let me watch TV in peace!'' every 5 minutes. lol

....if when you were at school, the other kids used to whinge at you for still not knowing how to play Rounders properly.

....if when you were at school, your biggest wish was to have friends.

You'd rather have 10 homework assignments than talk on the phone.

-If your teacher asks you to exchange phone numbers with someone in the class in case you are away one day and your first reaction is "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

It is uncommon for you to experience a trip on the city bus without at least one person giving you a disapproving look or a look of fear due to their ignorance/lack of understanding of why you are different.

Your ability to socialize with friends and family diminishes when you are under a lot of stress.

The meteor one is SO true for me, as are many of the others. Kids asked me for answers all the time in school, but I alweays handed in my projects either right on time or late. Teachers were okay with it because my projects were better, anyway. I know I am NOT the only one here who has experienced that!

You don't realize there is anything unusual about your level of knowledge about one of your interests until your friends call you an encyclopedia.

(that actually happened to me. I hope I remember what I was going to put; IT WAS FUNNY!)

A graduate student says that you talk like a textbook. (True story)

This has been said to me.

Also:

You mean you don't have a four-year degree in philosophy? (said by a professor)
You write like a professor. (said by someone with a degree of some kind)
