Or you might just be anti-social.

ruveyn

Anti-social Personality Disorder has nothing to do with that, that's more like schizoid.

You might be an aspie if you often feel compelled to distinguish between antisocial and asocial.

Yep, there's a big difference between "anti-" and "a-". ;)

....when people say ''how long's a piece of string?'' you like to reply, ''twice the size as half it's length.''

I'm always bored. I'm bored with my routine, yet I don't want to change it 'cos I don't like change.

My life is definitely boring but I don't think I could handle making it "interesting," and what that entails.

The meaning, not the spelling...

Anti- means against or opposing, and a- means without. Big difference in meaning.

Yea, I know. I was being dumb. still, sometimes to the outside "a" and "anti" appear very similar...

You may be an ashamed Aspie if...

...you feel soooo happy when you see an Aspie symptom you don't have

...you watch NTs chatting away to eachother without no social fear and you feel either angry with yourself for not doing that, or envious of them

...you get jealous of all your cousins for being NT

...your 19 year old cousin would rather come over to spend a day with your 12 year old cousin than to spend a day with you, simply because the 12 year old is more good at general socialising than you are (which makes you hate your ASD even more)

...you try to forget about your ASD while you're out living your day-to-day life, otherwise you know you will break down if you think about it whilst accompanied by NTs

....In Sunda School, you find the representations of the ark as a boat, with a keel and all, very irritating, when the Bible clearly describes the ark as a big rectangular box[Yes]

...your teacher commands every one in the room to pair-off to discuss a topic and you are extremely relieved that no one wants to be your partner.[Yes]

…you're disappointed that the latest close-approaching meteor is not, after all, going to hit Earth because you've been fascinated by cataclysms and catastrophism ever since you first saw "When Worlds Collide" and it scared the bejeebers out of you, and you really want to see what a real cataclysm would be like. [Yes]

....you insist on your view on fairness even when anyone else thinks you have gone mad [Yes]

....you constantly forget taking the trash out even if you walk past it all the time because it isn't on your mental agenda of things to do. [Yes]

...if your brain decides to take a leave when ever you are asked to do an unpleasant task.[Yes]

...your science teachers often let you hold their classes because you knew better anyway.[Yes]

...you consider the pleasantries of others just a waste of time.[Eh...not so much. It's according]

...ifF you have dreams of communicating with extraterrestrials and nightmares about chatting with the next-door neighbour.[Yes]

...you would rather have your liver pecked out by a giant crow than spend a day at the mall. [I like shopping too much(Gamestop anyone?)]

...You gave up on ever convincing people that you are not odd ages ago. You now just live your life and to hell with anyone who thinks it strange.[YES!]

...you're known for a large number of unusual pets. 10 additional points if these pets are creatures that make NTs squeamish like rats, snakes, ferrets, or lizards. 20 additional points if you have more than 5.[Kind of]

...you take apart computers or other electronics for fun. 10 additional points if you started doing this before you were five years old.[Yes]

...if you consider your driving an insurance risk [Yes]

...if you forgot how to divide every summer break in school [Yes]

...your hands are always covered in burns, cuts and scars, and the only ones you noticed getting are the really spectacular ones, but they never hurt anyway. [ Yes]

...if your neighbors come to your door needing help with their computer at all hours of the night [Not neighbors but family]

...if you help them with their computer problems at all hours of the night[Yes]

...if the only reason anybody from high school knew who you were is because you have a popular sibling [YES!]

...if your high school librarian knew you better than your classmates[No.]

...if anyone ever started a rumor that you were going to be on Jeopardy![No]

...if you're in class and everybody wants to sit by you for help with thier work but you can't get your own work done in time to save your life[Yes]

...if you've ever frequented a fast food resturant and the people there ask you if "you want the usual?"[Yes]

You might be an Aspie if you'd rather read a dictionary than the books everyone else in your class is reading.

Good God, I love reading dictionaries, always had. Never thought of it as an Aspie trait but it makes perfect sense now.
