Ha, I've got a Toyota Corolla too, and one time tried going down a hill in neutral... well I accidently slipped and set the car into reverse instead, and my car immediatly jerked to a halt and the check engine light came on and it wouldn't start again... well for a few minutes anyway, it eventually started and things were fine but it did scare the crap out of me. Lucky I was only going somewhere between 5-10 mph!

Anyway, my more unusual obsession is probably radiation. I'm obsessed with all things radioactive, got plenty of samples of a bunch of radioactive isotopes including C-14, K-40, Cs-137, Ra-226, U-238, and Am-241, plus discovered different ways to extract radon daughter isotopes from storing radium watch dials with activated carbon. Also discovered how to make a typical incandescent nite-lite bulb into an X-ray tube. Most of my interest in radiation is from its ability to mutate things; I've always wanted to produce a mutant plant, something unique and new and never before seen on this Earth. Whenever I'm not using my radioactive collection for any experiments, it's just sitting there irradiating seeds, which I plant a few every 6-10 months or so just to see if any interesting mutations might've happened yet... so far nothing. All of my sources are legal and much less dangerous to be in the same room with than second-hand smoke, but it still seems to scare/concern a lot of people who don't understand it very well.

i have an obsession with radiation too hehe good thing is i have a lead apron t:P

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

- Anything concerning the Elizabethan era
- Dead languages
- The midnight sun (like how it happens Norway)
- Languages in general -- as well as accents. I always liked to compare accents to one another and note the differences.
-Graphic design. It's more just a hobby, but during one time I was completely obsessed with it. I suppose now I can see the big improvement, so it's not all bad. But I guess I was so into it since I thought I could make friends easier if they thought I was talented at something. :/
- Old fashioned instruments (There was a time when I would spend hours and hours researching pretty obscure instruments, like the viola da gamba or violones)
- WW2, and abandoned towns/cities
- Oil painting
- Private schools (After I attended one for a short while, I fell in deep like for how easy it was to wake up and get ready so quickly with just a uniform.. as well as the entire education system in those schools. Then, when I stopped attending school, I continued researching really elite private schools all over the world. o.O)
- Travelling (especially Europe)-- I have a deep seated wanderlust. Very deep.
- Cultural customs - Particularly Japan at one point. I liked being able to see all the differences for what cultures held as important, or polite, compared to others.

Dustin two things do you read comics. And 2nd if you do are those comics only superheros.

I actually do love comic books with super heroes. I never read the comics though because I was mored interested in the artwork than the story lines. I would go out and buy one comic and analyze every detail of every picture. I think I've only bought about 4 comics in my life but I love to draw super heroes.

All sorts of brain-things, while not one of my "obsessive-special-interests" as I call them, is one of my "persistent-special-interests"... which in itself isn't odd, but my current one is Stockholm Syndrome, which is probably a bit odd.
My current special interests (whether they are odd or not) are:
Kingdom Hearts (persistent and obsessive), Harry Potter (persistent and borderline obsessive), brain things [autism, schizophrenia, comas, personality disorders, Stockholm Syndrome, blah, ect] (persistent), general things about the human body/medical stuff (persistent), Stephen King books (persistent and obsessive), Dean Koontz books (persistent and obsessive), Randall Flagg (obsessive, cycle-interest).

Term definitions:
"Obsessive-special-interests" means... well, I think it sort of self-explanatory. I think about them practically all the time, I'd go nuts without them, an active interest that I fully immerse myself in.
"Persistent-special-interests" means... they're sort of like the buzz in the background. They've been here for a long, long time now. Not really "active"; I can live without them.
"Cycle-interest" just means that it comes and goes.

If I could find or make something like this I would like to have a fan in a casing that looks like a ice structure plus some kind of mist emitter to add to the effect

I've always enjoyed rave music sometimes when I can feel the music through the ground

I love that, and I like discos/parties because the sound makes my chest vibrate like a phone.
