I'm imagining Johnny marching home from the American Civil War, hurrah, hurrah! Actually, he's not marching. He's pretty worn out, but he's happy to be home. His feet hurt. There's a lady hanging wash on the line, and someone giving kids a bath in a tin tub.

Oh, yeah, and the song is going through my head. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ants_Go_Marching

Only one other person in the house at the moment, thank goodness.

Thinking how nice my cheese and biscuits and Sherry are right now and how I wished I had defrosted the steak earlier so I could have a proper Sunday lunch right now.

AMEN, QFT and co-sign on this thought!
I am sooooo bored of being a human animal, having to do all this STUFF just to exist! I skyped my friend of 10 years ago and she was still going to parties with the same people - I was bored just hearing about it, how bored would I have been if I had never left?

pretty bored - that is why I left in the first place. Thanks for reminding me I am not the only weirdo, Hartz

You're Welcome, Merle! :D

I'm still hungry but these days I never know what I want to eat, I should shower but I kind of don't feel like it, I wish I had an extremely strong impulse to do something that is do-able at this time and place, I need to start getting ready for my trip, why isn't there anything good on TV?, and that uncomfortable feeling.

Wondering why my dog is sucking up to me. Sure I walked her today, but she just won't leave me alone. Oh well, she's cute.
I have to wait half an hour to watch the Wonder Years then I'll read A Shadow On the Glass by Ian Irvine. Then feed my pets, then look for something to eat for dinner. I feel like lasagna.

Funny, I've been wondering why 3 of the 4 cats have been unusually lovey today as well. They've been taking turns rubbing up against me, purring, and just generally putting on their charm.

Who_Am_I, I also studied music: piano performance (along with computer science). I played violin in orchestra as well, but I got sick of playing operas every semester, so I eventually joined chorus and had a much better time of it. Now I've thrown all of my classical training to the wind and only play traditional music.

Sweet! I did some entrelac socks a few years ago. It's a lot of fun, especially if you learn to knit in the reverse direction. Are you on Ravelry?

It's a very addictive technique! (I just tried it out on some cheap acrylic yarn and I'm having trouble putting my work down).

I'm not at the moment, but just today I was thinking about making an account on there :D (though..wasn't there a waiting list?).

I'm thinking about thinking. Also, I'm thinking about how I failed at a fake art auction I had over the weekend. Yes, there is always the possibility of my dad retiring, taking away between 40-70% of the yearly salary. What does "thinking" mean again???????
