Yes, this is partly true, but part of the diagnostic process is to fill out self-reports much like Aspie-quiz. However, in the real diagnostic process other people will also be asked, and a professional will meet you IRL and see how you behave.
So, it is true that self-reports are unreliable to "prove your diagnosis" or anything like that online, but they are pretty reliable for discovering why you are different, and to provide a self-diagnosis for your own sake. OTOH, anybody could also claim to have an official diagnosis online, and this is also not possible to disprove.
