I loved playing with my Emiglio Robot (I used to make it get away with saying some pretty foul words!). I used to collect hot wheels cars and store them in baby wipes boxes. I also slept with a whole zoo full of stuffed animals (I still do) and I played a bunch of Sega Genesis games (Phantasy Star 4 has always been my favorite!).

I had a ship model from Alien 3, The Star-Trek Enterprise D Class, legos, and books.

I allow myself to break my 1:10 rule, just for this post.

I'm going through my second Childhood, and I adore my Routemaster Replicas. :)

  • Action Figures, preferably monsters (i used to love monsters) from he-man, teenage mutant hero turtles, etc.
  • Lego

I enjoyed playing with friends, but when they went, I had the same fun playing alone.

Ah yeah, and i had a Commodore Amiga since I was 7 years old. I enjoyed playing video games, too. Later, when my former friends all broke up with me, their parents used to spread the rumour i had to be ret*d because of playing all day computer games.

Baby Dolls - i prefered real baby clothes and accessories to make it authentic - i bought proper bottles and diapers and things with my birthday money. And i took care of them highly accurately following all the rules for infants at certain ages.

American Girl Dolls - Kirsten, Samantha, Addy, and the Girl of Today - I only used the historically accurate accessories for them and NEVER mixed their outfits. Sometimes my friends would try to put a frilly victorian dress on the Frontier girl and i would have a fit. Ridiculous!! ! My "daughters" were forgiving of these foolish faux-paus but I, their mother, was not. Only my best friend could play this with me.

Littlest Pet Shop - the personalities, histories, and relationships between all the animals was so complex that only I could play it. I wouldn't let anyone else touch them.

Miniature baby dolls
Big wooden blocks and rubber/plastic animals
Legos
Fake food and dishes
Dress-up clothes
Pretend school kit
My little Pony (the old ones- The new ones are hideous!)
Rainbow Brite

Non-play toys:

Stuffed animals/blankie - for comfort, not play
Books - for reading, not play
Art supplies - for practice, not play

I'd say that 35% of my childhood free time was spend on dolls, and the other 35% on drawing.

Three Words

My Little Pony (I customize them now... Just the ugly new ones and ones that some demon child scribbled all over or gave a hair cut.) I should post pictures of my customs.

I was like that too. The newer ones are ugly as sin. I had a set of gerbils and threw a fit when the neighbor girl would change their names or get the males mixed up with the females.

Transfomers and Legos

I'm not even sure how it happened that I stopped playing with them. I think at some point I just got really apathetic :P

- Lego
- Train set
- Plastic farm animals

I used to draw too; I liked to draw very detailed illustrations of great new 'inventions', like a special robot for performing certain tasks. These were all very precise, and done with rulers, compasses, etc.
