I guess, people just think, oh someone has Asperger's, then they must be totally different in all ways

I wonder if aspies are also more sensitive to colours, as well as sounds etc.

Orange juicy topic

My fave colour as a child. Not as popular now, but I have some sweaters with orange as one of the stripe colours. 8)

I am not as particular about colour as I used to be, but blue is an old favourite as it is the colour of most of my jeans.

My favorite color, that I believe could be the "official" one for Aspergers is turquoise, which means neither blue nor green, since autistic color is blue.
I wonder if there is already an "official" colors for Aspergers. If not, could be turquoise?
What do you all think

No it is forbidden for autistics to have a favourite colour. A memo went out a while ago so, if you're diagnosed and think you prefer one colour over another, please be aware that you are doing autism wrong :p lol. haha.

Seriously though, I prefer mustard yellow and I also have a favourite colour combination which is dark orange, grey and black.

What do you mean ''can'' we have a favourite colour? Of course we can, just like anybody else.

Some are, some aren't. I think it all boils down to one's own individual sensitivities.

I'm not particularly sensitive to color, although I do have my favorites (dark red/crimson and black) and least favorite (bright green.) I've preferred those colors my entire life.

But seriously, I really do wonder about topics like this. I know we're all trying to understand ourselves better, and what is unique to each of us individually, and what is common to our shared neurology.
However, one thing I've learned just reading posts here is that we are all as different from each other as any random sampling of individuals are likely to be. Some of us may have favorite colors, and some don't. That seems more likely to be due to factors other than neurology.

Wow, this thread was started more than 3 years ago. I wonder if the OP is still around.

I think this is the kind of thread that some others were complaining about - "Do Aspies ...?" kind of thread. But personally I don't think there's anything wrong with this kind of thread. I like threads like this one.

Any way, I do have favorite colors. I like green and orange. For clothing I tend to choose greenish, brownish kinds of colors.

In my opinion having favorite colors, or which color one likes, is more universal thing than AS thing, though it might turn out that there is some tendency if research is done. You never know.

Want to remind you guys that this thread is over 3 years old, and was resurrected with a question that probably would be better off in a thread of its own.
