i use to get ppl asking my parents as a child why do i never smile, why do i always look in my own world or so sad. growing up i never smiled it was rare, it wasnt cuz i wasnt happy or cuz iw as sad, jus idk didnt smile lol wasnt in my nature. but even today ppl say im smiling and im extremely angry or im sad and im smiling or ilkll be frowning and im happy, or brows raised concentrating and extremely excited, i think thats very common among the spectrum to not have the emotion match the facial expression. anyways i know what u mean.

I was always being acused of frowning when really I just had a nutural expression. I remember my mom always telling me it took more mucles to frown than it did to smile. Then how come it hurts so much when I smile?

I get this too but I think it is more often "angry" rather than "sad"

Apparently my "neutral" face looks pissed off. *shrug*

It's exactly what others in this thread have said. When I am off in my head thinking or otherwise just not paying attention to making facial expressions, people say this to me.
