Obviously Callista you say the true. But for any preliminary statistic you need to reduce the number of possible variables, also I think that basically at least 20-30% of people here have taken a general IQ test, while more specific tests are less taken.

I've a similar scatter to you: basically perfect 3d visualization (I full the scale in any test I take), good fine motor skill, poor gross motor skill. Far higher in the matrix/spatial/mathematical part than on verbal component. Below average EQ (empathic quotient) but very scattered (very low interpersonal, very high intrapersonal).

I find also very interesting the distintion between intrapersonal-interpersonal intelligence with an eye on autism, I think many of us will present that kind of scatter.

General IQ test still activate only 6% of our brain (with general I mean a test with: matrices, rotation, mathematical series, verbal analogies, etc.. all together).

I also agree that the infamous "g-factor" (general intelligence) is somewhat correlated between 0.6 and 0.9 with IQ tests (depends on the test) but the correlation is far lower for autistics. But we don't have other "1 score take it all" instruments at the moment, at least not enough widely used.

Great that's all I need right now.

To not be qualified in passing as the intelligent gifted person with aspergers.

On MBTI I alternate between two categories.

I could suggest that an Enneagram sorter would yield morde interesting results. MBTI and Enneagram meassure different things, though there seem to be some correlations. Asperger's and Enneagram 5 and 4 seem to fit very closely.

I have problems answering a lot of the MB questions in a meaningful way, to be honest. Whilst it's true that I seek out quieter activities, it's because of sensory overload. I'd love to be able to party all night. That's the sort of problem I have with various questions in it. Answering them as "things I have to do because of being on the autism spectrum" gives me ESTJ. Answering them as "things I'd love to be able to do" gives me ESFP. Hmm.

Refused/Gifted/AS

Refused: I hate personality "tests" with a passion. I'll spare you the obscenities but ___ that _____.
Gifted: IQ results from 137-167. High end results were self-test and probably less reliable.
AS: DXed recently at age 39.

The interesting thing, though, is that different autistics end up having the same likes/dislikes except for different reasons. I never had sensory issues, but I don't like parties simply because I tend to get lost in the crowd and can't keep up, which is a social thing and NOT sensory at all. And then there is you who is just the opposite: you say you would love to go to the parties its just sensory stuff stopping you. Now isn't it interesting that NEITHER of us likes parties, just for very different reasons?

I think there's a debate to be had about whether there's the same underlying brain wiring mechanism behind your challenge in keeping up with the party, and mine in the sensory overload, though - both involve the brain trying to route too much info down brain wiring never designed to handle it, and getting overwhelmed by it? But yes, aspies can certainly have differing reasons for the same end result.

INTP/gifted/subclinical
I am not diagnosed with anything officially and don't feel like I need to (except for being able to know with greater certainty) since I don't really need any professional help to get by all right. I get by okay on my own and so by your initial definition, I would be subclinical, though if I had the money to get a diagnosis, I probably could and would classify as AS. I thought that most people with AS were able to lead autonomous lives in work and school and such. It seems that there is some amount of overlap in your categories.
Basically, I'm kind of unclear on where the cutoff is for 'clinical impairment' or 'subclinical' impairment. Guess I should see a psych. :?

Also, does it bother/amuse anyone else that the title of the thread is autism/IQ/personality but we are all posting personality/IQ/autsim (reversed order)?

I always end up INFP on this test no matter how many times I take it.

I also used to test 'gifted' but I seem to be losing IQ points as I age.
