No, not at all, I can't stand walking along the pavement with people coming towards me either (especially if they are 2 or 3 abreast) I cannot see any pattern to movements, it's just a random insane noise to me, there is no perceivable body-language there (although there seemingly is to others I am told, I just don't see it?!)
I get incredibly upset if people block isles with their trolleys or block me in completely that makes me panic, then as you get more upset more senses amp up, smell gets even worse (and shops stink as it is with the chemical cleaners and fake room odorisers) colours become brighter, I can't think and then I get more and more awkward and clumsy!!
I have to go to the shops every day, I have no choice it's that or starve, but it never gets any easier....
2 way I cope:
1. I always have headphones with music, that at least cuts down on 1 sense overloading, I sometimes were sunglasses too as this cuts the colours out and I feel safer peeping at people from behind them.
2. I go very late when there are less people about.
