Hmm, well, I guess you learned from the experiences, at least! Free samples are one to a customer (they should post a sign, really), and if you play with a toy in a store, you play with one, once, and for only a short time. I guess it's just a matter of learning all the little subtle rules that people expect you to know.

I've never been thrown out of a store. I usually throw myself out because I can only take being in one for so long. :)

I HATE subtle rules that we're supposed to know SHEESH!! !! !! !! !! !! !! DAMN IT!! !! !! !

I was kicked out of a Discovery Store for playing with the robotic dinosaurs for too long. :P

I have never been kicked out of a store, but I have been kicked out of a theme park because my friend and I flipped off the camera on a ride. We got lucky that was the last ride we were planning to do anyway!

I can't believe they punished you for defending yourself against some perv.....oh wait, yes I can.

And the sad thing is if you had done the "right" thing and complained to security rather than giving that guy the beatdown he deserved, they wouldn't have done jack shyt about it.

That's why I go by my own rules for dealing with perverts. Better to risk being arrested for putting some creep in the ER than risk constantly being a victim every time I leave the house.

Actually, what he did when he did that, was public mischief ..he should have been charged for that. If that happened here in Canada, he would be facing mischeif charges.

These stories are so funny. The mounty thing almost made snot come out MY nose.

When I was 19 my now husband and I were in KMart - I was looking for hangers, those folding wooden and metal ones for pants, and he was a few aisles away. I was wearing this little skirt when I felt something brush against my legs. I thought maybe a little kid had wandered down the aisle but when I looked down, a very slimy guy was looking right up my skirt and picking up a cigarette butt he had tossed between my feet. He said, "oh, excuse me" and I looked at him...the devil came out in me, and I kicked him. He started apologizing and I said "I don't think so!" (full devil mode, now the gloves were off) and he started to run away. I chased him, of course, beating him with one of these hangers. he ran, yelling, "I'm leaving! I'm leaving! Don't hit me!" Anyway, my husband hears this commotion and thinks someone's trying to kidnap me or something and he sees a guy whiz by and then me, following and beating him in a blind rage. Long story short, the cops, who I got to help us, threatened me with assault because he said it wasn't illegal to look up a girl's skirt. Security, after viewing the tape asked us not to come back.

This IS illegal, because it's a sexual act done without your consent. It's also a breach of the peace.

The only time I remember with a store is when I was about 15 and stole an ice cream from a store and was caught, and told not to come back. This sort of behaviour was encouraged in me by inappropriate friendships I had at the time and their peer pressure.

But only three months ago a group of four of us - four Aspies - were kicked out and barred from a pub for melting. moulding, reassembling etc. a candle.

I was kicked out of the mall once, because it was 7pm on a friday and I was with my 17 year old boyfriend. The Mall by me actually has a policy that after 5pm on the weekend, anyone under the age of 18 must be escorted by a parent. So even though I was 19 and had ID, and he looks older, and we were in the process of shopping and spending money... The security guard told us we had to leave. Of course I just pretended to leave and then went into spencers instead XD. But he caught us, threatened to take us "down-town" if it happened again, and had a couple of police officers escort us out... it was great though because the cops were actually really cool about it and you could tell they thought the security guard was over-reacting.

Oh, but definitely never shopping there again.

I've never been kicked out of a store. I was almost kicked out of a restaurant, back in my early punk days, in 2007. I thought it was funny at the time. Now that I look back, it wasn't funny, at all.

Yes, I think this is illegal now, but that was 1994 or so. It definitely should have been illegal and it was, according to my temper.

A mall having a policy like that in Canada would be SUED instantly for discrimination, and fined by the Canadian Human Rights Commission for discrimination on the basis of age.

As far as I know, the US has laws against discrimination,...If that was me, id be calling a lawyer on my cell phone as they were escorting me out.

I've been asked to leave arcades on three separate occasions.

I can visually time the games where you put a coin down the slot and have to get it to land in the right place on the spinny wheel. Apparently they disapprove of jackpots on all the machines at the same time. One arcade let me stay until the third time I complained that the machine ran out of tickets...

But hey, the last time I gave my tickets to my little brother and he left with a skateboard, a soccer ball, a mini lava lamp, a couple noodle balls, and some candy! :D

Age discrimination laws in the USA do not cover different policies for adults and minors.
