I like the noise of hoovers god knows why lol! And fans! The sound I find best is when it's windy and rainy and your inside a tent which is comfy and warm! And you can just hear it from outisde! Seems strange but I always like that! Iv'e never had the chance to do that though! But it's something i'd really like the do one day! :)

I really hate it when babys cry and people scream high piched! It just hurts my ears and makes me voilent towards whoever is doing it! >.< I don't attack anybody though..I try my hardest not to! I just hate loud noises unless it's music that I like! mwuah! ^_^

Almost any sound of water in motion is the BEST: streams, surf, fountains, waterfalls, rain, even just a running faucet. I can sit by a public fountain for hours, especially if it's a big complicated one with lots of different nozzles and different places of moving the water around. It goes beyond just a pleasant sensation to something that almost instills a kind of inner peace.

Also any very simple repetitive pulse if the rhythm is really consistent and not too fast or too slow. Like any sort of machine that makes a tapping or clacking sound at regular intervals, or just my finger tapping on a tabletop (especially if I can lay my head down and press one ear against the table). Lately I've been realizing that what I love about minimal techno music is mainly just the hypnotic repetition that makes some people think of it as boring. Since coming to this realization I've been making some recordings of synthesizers programmed to just play one note over and over at about 120 bpm for several minutes - I don't think of these as music, just a sort of experiment with sound. I have been trying out different sounds and textures on these pulses, and putting them on an iPod and walk around listening to them on Repeat. It's nothing like how I enjoy music, but it seems to do something positive for my frame of mind.

Rain pattering on the on teh roof of my house is one of my favourite sounds. I also like any sounds of water moving.

Birds chirping and wind shaking the leaves on the trees are also very soothing.

The sound of the washing machine running - I've always liked it, I'm not sure why.

The purring of cats.

Acoustic guitars.

Any rhythmic sounds, so long as the rhythm doesn't change.

The sound of zippers closing.

A dog howling.

Trains--specifically, the sound INSIDE them. In particular, the sound inside an Amtrak Superliner while it's moving (got treated to 4 days straight of that on Spring Break :D), or inside a NJ Transit Comet II, IV or V with the A/C turned on.

Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines...no longer produced, I'm going to miss the sweet, high-pitched whine as those engines are retired.

Trees rustling gently in the breeze during summer.

And of course country music :).

Purring cats, mewing cats, and the sounds a combat robot makes as it rolls across the ground. I also like gentle water streams, blizzards, and the sound my Gamecube makes when you turn it on.

My range of pleasurable sounds varies by quite a large margin.
-Dubstep (Can't walk anywhere without my MP3 player, the sounds of cars make me wanna throw up)
-Classical Music (When Dubstep is too loud)
-Cats (Most any sound, and for some reason, when a cat is sitting on my chest, purring, I start giggling like crazy)
-British Accents (For some reason, I can't stand talking to people like this, the accent is annoying when trying to understand them. But as pure white noise, it's very relaxing)
-Rain (I love the smell of it too, and the feeling of it on my bare skin)
-Probably a few I can't think of, writing this at work, so obviously not in a pleasurable place ;)

Tattoo guns - especially when mixed with the sting of having another one myself.

Rain on the conservatory glass roof.

Waves on the beach - I have a YouTube video of 10 hours of waves crashing I use every day.

Miles Davis' muted trumpet.

My two Leonberger dogs snoring by my feet.

My floor steam cleaner or my clothes iron - the sound of steam whooshing out of the implement.

A typical country meadow with the birds, animals and the breeze blowing through the trees.

The screen lock noise on my phone.

The warp engines on the Enterprise - that background hum so similar to the sounds of a ships engines.

Rhodes suitcase piano from the early 1970's
Certain dishwashers make great noises

Vent fans that are not too loud
Any songs by Gordon Lightfoot
The hum (and smell) of old electronics

Violins/most strings, cant play, love the sound though
A cats purr
Songbirds, as opposed to the racket starlings make
The kind of muteness/silence that snow brings

I like a kitty cat's purring, too.

I've lived in the city all my life, so traffic noise is soothing.

The sounds of various insects in the night.

Peace and Quiet.
