Do you blame things on your diagnosis?

I guess there is a difference between "blaming" things on your diagnosis and "explaining" things with your diagnosis.
I do the last thing when needed, but not the first.
I may not even mention AS, maybe just explaining that I have an issue with eg. unexpected touch, planning or such.
