I'm not sensitive to any certain textures of food. I just don't like certain textures. For example, I don't like coconut-flavoured chocolates like Bounty, because of the texture. Yuk!

That's why I had a very hard time eating vegetables when I was younger. I can eat veggies now, although there are still some I won't eat such as cucumbers, pickles, carrots and tomatoes.

You have the same food sensitivities I do! Slimy, watery vegetables are gross. Cooked vegetables are awesome.

I like dry and crunchy for my favorite texture. I dislike moist or gooey.
I like my cereal dry and really like crackers.

I abhor bananas for both taste and texture. Can't usually deal with "grainy" things like biscuits, grits, oatmeal, etc. I can have bread with other things on it, but don't understand at all why it's appealing by itself. Don't like the solidity of most cheeses, but I could live on mozzarella. Other than that I've always been an exceptional eater, erring far on the side of adventure. Although it was suggested once that I try cow tongue tacos, and that is something I can guarantee will never go in my mouth. One of my interests is cooking, though, so I guess that's why.
My sister has very specific preferences. She doesn't eat most red meat (texture), usually sticks to chicken or ground beef or other things with very predictable textures. She will eat carrots if they are cooked with a chicken, but not when cooked alone because of the flavor. When I told her there were no chain restaurants in the town I just moved to, she had an almost angry reaction. "What if you want food that's consistent? If you want to know that you're getting decent food?" Cracked me up.
My response would be that those places don't have decent food at all, and that it's admirable for them to be keeping out chain restaurants in favor of allowing local restaurants to flourish. The flip side of that is that there is no decent Chinese food here at all, because most people don't know enough to say what is authentic and isn't....but when you put Worcestershire sauce in hot and sour soup, you've gone too far. /rant

Speaking as a Chinese, this is indeed unimaginable.

Strawberries make me gag as do sliced bananas...to feel all that oil is just revolting. Salt if overdone also is detrimental and a terrible form of seasoning. I do love creamy textures like yogurt though and solid shapes like stick pretzels. My favorite of all is likely cotton candy!

I can't eat things that are in between soft and firm (bananas, mushrooms, eggplant, soft cheeses).

I also can't eat sauces or condiments.

I'm a vegetarian, partly due to the disgusting texture of meat.

The texture of tinned tuna really bothers me. The dryness and flakey feeling is awful. I have to mash it into pieces in a sauce when I eat it.

I hate cherries, blueberries and mushrooms due to that horrible mushy texture they possess. I can only eat cherries and blueberries if they don't have their skins and if they're prepared in such a fashion that I can't feel them (pureed). There are no exceptions for mushrooms. Slimey foods are also undesirable (overdone Okra and cut zucchini that's been left to sit for too long being the worst offenders).

I dislike mushrooms because the thought of eating something with that texture, coupled with the fact that it is a fungus, disgusts me. Eggplant is another food I can't stand. I don't know if it is because of the texture or the odd name. I mean, how can an egg be a plant?

Yogurt, tapioca pudding, crunchy peanut butter, oatmeal are offenders for me. The top of the list for me though is definitely Jello.

I'm not too bothered by food textures in general, though I have a few things I avoid (mushy bananas, egg yolk, fatty meat, etc...).

My nephew is really fussy. He dislikes anything too soggy, spicy foods, many vegetables, tomatoes, and cherries, to name a few. I used to think he was just picky and obstinate. Then I realized that a lot of his personality traits are consistent with Asperger's... 8O

i can't stand greasy, oily or buttery food. The slimy feel on the lips is disgusting. Being somewhat weight conscious, oil signifies fat to me, so not sure if this is a learned aversion or something else.

Slimy, sloppy or chewy fruits and vegetables bother me. Chewy, tough meat as well. That's why I rarely eat any other meat apart from chicken, but even that can be crappy sometimes. I also can't stand it when people boil vegetables.
