I'm sure the way I walk/look lost in thought/avoid eye contact leads some people to think I'm on drugs. When I am actually high(weed), you've got to be an idiot to not notice. My anxiety, problems walking normally, and eye contact issues are magnified 100x when I'm high and in public. I can't regulate the way my voice comes out when I'm high either.
that was exactly how I felt when I was high.....thank you for explaining that......
very simple things....like walking, talking create an intense amount of anxiety, because I know people can tell. It feels really scary when I cant regulate my voice, because I know my voice doesnt sound right. I can barely walk. That sh** is not fun. weed isnt for me
What actually happens when some people get stoned is they slump slightly and crush the lower part of the lungs down (especially if sitting) and shallow breathe and hyperventilate
This completely messes up their blood oxygen and CO2 balance and then all the weird stuff kicks off - paranoia - anxiety etc
When it happens stand tall and straight take long slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth filling your lungs from the bottom and expanding them in such a way as to keep your shoulders level
breathe in two three four five nice and slow
and out two three four five six seven eight
do it for at least three minutes five minutes if you are stoned
no panic just gentle long relaxed breaths
I may not have that exactly right I am not a doctor
But I do know if you find yourself yawning or sighing a lot it is a sign things are out of whack and your body is trying to correct it
And of course the above stands regardless of if you are on drugs or not
And remember - a lot of people with AS have paradoxical reactions to all kinds of drugs due to different brain chemistry
