I was nowhere near like that as a child, but then I get I only have mild AS. I had tantrums upto when I was 4 - but those were no different to any NT toddler tantrums, and I immediately grew out of tantrums by 5.
If I did have meltdowns as a child over the age of 5, they were nowhere as bad as the are now. In fact, when I was a child, my emotions were so much easier to control then, and I was at the behaviour level of other children in my peers. How strange.
Funny, they say Autistic children under 3 don't have any tantrums, but all NT children under 3 do have tantrums. So if I have a child some day, and has normal toddler tantrums at 2, then I can just assume it's NT (or Aspie, like me).
