You could just tell your friends that they are complete idiots for thinking that autism just means 'a bit shy'

Also, that test is worthless except as a fun diversion.

Are you male or female? It matters.

:) Hello. Everyone keeps saying I'm autistic even though I'm not. How can I prove to them once and for all that I'm not autistic?

I don't enjoy repetitive tasks. I have a good imagination. I can hold perfectly normal conversations with people. Just 'cause I'm quite clever and a bit shy people just say I'm autistic.

So could you help me out with a way to prove to them that I'm not autistic? Thanks.

Dude... Theres nothing wrong with having AS/ASD. Its completely fine, you are who you are, and the NTs have no right to tell you that there is something wrong with you. Have you heard of Neuro-Diversity? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurodiversity

huh, some how think the OP has gone off elsewhere..

To answer, friends arent always friends, people arent always nice, maybe these people are just trying to get a rise out of you.

autism isnt a club, its about the same as being male or female.. your born that way, the end.

Autistic? NT? Purple? welcome to the real world, its quite diverse ^^

I'm a very imaginative person. Don't listen too closely to stereotypes. Qantas is also safe.

You could also try the very long and detailed aspie quiz:

http://rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

For what it's worth you lose autistic points with me for not being repetitive.

Yes, I know not at people with autism are repetitive. I just need to have a clear division between non-autistic but shows traits verses fits the criteria probably with a significant level of impairment.

Apologies if this covers something already said.
I'm quite close to an emotional overload so I am finding it difficult to concentrate and take information in.

A test on the internet, regardless of what test it might be (AS-Baron-cohan, RAADS-R, etc etc) cannot tell you for certain whether or not your autistic.

For that you will need to see a specialist. More is involved than just those quizzes.

Why does it both you when people state your autistic?
If you've stated to them, you are not and they persist, have you discovered their reasons?
Just because you are shy, quite and somewhat intelligent isn't enough to classify someone as autistic.

That just means you're a quite, shy person that is somewhat intelligent.

In terms of imagination, stating that an autistic individual isn't imaginative is ridiculous.
Every autistic person I've come across has had quite a vivid imagination.
What they lack is imaginative play.
I.e; This barbie is mother, this ken doll is father, lets play happy families.
An autistic individual more likely to pull apart the dolls to see what is inside of them, rather than play "families" with them. They are aware dolls are dolls. (this is in children)

But the test that pensive posted is still handy dandy. Never hurts to do an updated check.

I got the same score I always do.

I remember doing that test. Both of my scores were in the low hundreds with my AS score being slightly higher.

I'm Independent, and take risks.

and I feel that i'm NT. (Or outgrew from Autism).
