Interestingly enough, the creators of The Big Bang Theory and Bones more or less said they haven't explicitly stated their characters have AS, because it would put them under too much pressure to get it "right". I think because people with AS are all so different this is probably a good approach. At least we all know they have As without them having to say it.

I've watched it several times now and I can't stop laughing, it's so funny! The part where he tries to pull the "angry" face is hilarious LOL.

He was talking about Big Bang Theory, I think. Not Aspergers High.

And I love the end, her face and voice were hilarious.

I was refering to the idea that the video is mocking the portrayal of AS on TV.

I haven't seen Big Bang yet, but it sounds interesting. Bones is one of my favorite shows. I didn't realize right off the bat that she was playing it Aspie, and maybe she wasn't, but I said to my husband they could totally do her role that way and it looks like they've developed her in that direction. I love that she has social skills, she's just really objective about them and doesn't always choose to play the NT way. Zach was my favorite character, and I was so upset when he got into trouble for that cannabalism thing. I'm not sure he'd be a straight up Aspie, there's other stuff going on there too...I mean if he were real and not a fictional character. :)

I loved it, if this were a real show I'd watch it. Very recognizable traits, exaggerated for comic effect.
*please don't touch me*

i thought so too, or "do you often feel like you're on drugs" and i was ready to chime in ..

about the video, i thought it was funny especially the shot of the whole cast standing & sitting around not looking at the camera or each other:

i especially like the face the guy in plaid is making.

i like that approach too. then it's about the characters instead of the condition, anyway.

I think that video is very funny. I'm not at all offended by it. I was literally lmao the whole time. However, as long as some people aren't dumb enough to take that video at face value and think that all people with Aspergers are like that then I don't have a problem with it.

I noticed that too. And the girl at the beginning who says "we both have aspergers" does a lot too much with her face. You'd think with how much they were trying to exaggerrate all the symptoms(with looking away from the camera and acting awkward at the beginning and flat expressions), that they wouldn't have let those things slip by.

Not quite a flat effect topic

The presentation of AS in girls is a bit different, but then these actors are more than likely NT.
