Have Blaire's 2 AM; 900,000, in my fridge. I did the toothpick to the tongue test, nothing magical, its just concentration - ease off quantity and the result is tolerable. I wouldn't necessarily worry about 'scared' so much as just don't eat it straight, and if you just made an average sized pot of chili maybe you'd only need 1/3 or 1/4 of the pepper.

Yes, addiction to hot peppers is a classic symptom of autism as described in DSM-IV.

Addicted no, but I love them. Food that should be spicy I order extra spicy. When I get Thai food, I ask for authentic Thai spicy pepperiness. But some foods ought not be spicy, like German spitzel.

I like that Sriracha sauce. I put it on everything. The hottest sauce I had was Mad Dog 357.

I love habanero peppers but they tear the ass out of me coming out. I also love chipotle tobasco sauce, I cannot get enough of it. I also love spicey guacomole on my burittos and tacos. For my corn chips and dorittos I use hot queso cheese and super hot salsa. 8)

I love hot pepers and spicy food period. I put tabasco on everything. I can't eat fish, meat, pasta, hot dogs, hamburger, etc. without hot peppers , jalapeno peppers or tabasco.

I love my chilli dogs with sweet onions, chipolte sauce, and kimchi. Great stuff.

I love hot peppers... Habaneros, Jalapenos, and any other variety that's HOT. I use them in sandwiches, scrambled eggs, and eat them plain.

And if that's not enough, I am the winner of the Southern California Salsa Fuego gulping contest at La Salsa Restaurant, summer 1984 (Oops; I'm revealing my age 8O ).

Yep, if it doesn't leave a slight tingling sensation in your mouth then you aren't making it right. I eat jalapeno sandwiches and use hot sauce on my fries.

Sounds like news the mace manufacturers would love to hear.

Well I like Thai food and Korean food, I don't know if that means anything. I like very spicy foods, but not all the time.

When I was a kid/teen I used to eat really hot peppers/spices, then in my 20's opted for flavourful spiced dishes vs. burning hot stuff. I just decided it was ridiculous not to be able to taste or enjoy any other food because of the burning peppers. But now that I know I'm sensitive to salicylate acids I don't eat any of them at all anymore.

Here is an odd addiction, and I'm wondering if there is anybody else that has it. I am somewhat of a masochist when it comes to eating, and I am literally addicted to hot peppers. Like, there aren't too many people I know who would dare to chew down a raw jalapeno.

There was once this hot dog vendor many years back, and I had to be about six or seven years old, and this dude sold "macho dogs." A macho dog, if you don't know, is a hot dog with mustard, relish, and topped off with some hot peppers. It tasted really good, and I found myself addicted to hot food after that.

Now, I eat everything hot. I add hot pepper sprinkles to soup. I prefer potato chips red hot. I even found myself opening the refrigerator many times, staring at how peppers and having to open the jar and gulp one down.

It gets a bit stranger. About seven years back or so, I found myself in Tijuana. They all love hot food down there. This waiter served us nachos with dip that was supposed to be extra hot. Well, my parents don't eat hot food like I do, so it was mostly left to me. I gulped down nacho after nacho, and the waiter came over and asked me how I could eat all that so fast. I just told him, "I don't really know. It's like I've eaten hot food all my life, and it's just does not seem as hot as it used to." This was from a Mexican who must himself love hot food.

Yes, me exactly. Actually, with the way they f****d up my digestive system, I am pretty sure I am allergic too. I had awful GI symptoms the same day and the next day with tons of extremely foul-smelling diarrhea, stomach aches, migraine headaches, and anxiety. But it didn't stop me from gorging myself even more on such things. I actually told myself that all the disruption was getting rid of parasites. Lulz

Have you ever heard of allergy-addiction syndrome? I think I have it with both dairy and hot peppers, as well as gluten to some extent, though I'm not sure if I'm allergic to the latter. God, I so loved living in China in Korea Town and eating the hottest food, just pouring pepper and bean sauce on my food, but I regressed something awful in my ASD when I was over there. I wondered why super hot girls weren't hitting on me left and right when I left like they were at the beginning; this may be the reason. lol

I've developed a compulsive addiction to shrimp, tuna, and even fish oil now. I wonder if I'm allergic to them too.
