I'm not sure which to answer as

I'm INT(J/P). I'll score solidly on the first three, and about 50% of the time, depending on which test, between J and P.

For the short descriptions

INTJ wrote:
Have original minds and great drive for implementing their ideas and achieving their goals. Quickly see patterns in external events and develop long-range explanatory perspectives. When committed, organize a job and carry it through. Skeptical and independent, have high standards of competence and performance – for themselves and others.

INTP wrote:
Seek to develop logical explanations for everything that interests them. Theoretical and abstract, interested more in ideas than in social interaction. Quiet, contained, flexible, and adaptable. Have unusual ability to focus in depth to solve problems in their area of interest. Skeptical, sometimes critical, always analytical.

They both describe me. I'm just a pointer to an integer - INT*.

I voted INTJ because of needing to vote one way or the other and INTJ being the first result I had gotten. I don't really identify as either one.

Looking just at the descriptions, my probably aspie boyfriend is probably an INTP. (He won't consider himself self-diagnosed, but he uses the phrase that he's probably an aspie)

So, two more NT aspies for the list ;)

I must be in the minority since I've alternated between ISFJ and ISFP!!

Seems like I'm also one of the few Aspies who's an F rather than a T.

Looking at wikipedia's description I think I am fall as a ITSJ or INTP.
However, is there anyway I can take a test for free, AND, a way to find out which type falls best with which profession?

Additionally, they are sliding scales. If you test in the middle, it implies some balance. I test right between T/F. I'm passionate but my decisions are always logical unless I make the choice to follow an illogical choice... like taking the long way because it's prettier.

I feel like it's given me some insight into how I operate. I've always been extremely Introverted and iNtuitive... but been working on it. Social Faux Pas prevent me from balancing my introversion and I'm not really sure how I test iNtuitive... while terribly clumsy... I -am- observant and notice patterns, etc. I am not much of a concrete thinker though and I also have a strong preference for theory.

If I had to say the down and dirty short version is-

I/E - Do you prefer to recharge alone or with a group of people?
N/S- Do you think abstract/theory or concretely/facts?
T/F- Do you make typically make thinking or feeling decisions?
J/P- Are you more scheduled/organized/assessing or noncommittal/comfortable with ambiguity?

I am not surprised at all that aspies mostly test INTJ... I think our obsessions lead us to collect a significant amount of information that can only really be sorted by our intuitive or subconscious minds. (If anyone is interested, read Strangers to Ourselves: Discovering the Adaptive Unconscious by Timothy D. Wilson.) Our abilities to sort information is very interesting. Coupled with our severe introversion (not to say that we aren't social) and inability to read social cues...

INTP. The poll results are really skewed towards INTP and INTJ. Does anyone know of any studies done between Asperger's/autism and MBTI? If the results over larger autistic populations are anything like this then surely there must be some.

Any other Aspies on here who are F's and not T's? I feel like I'm the only one who's an F.

I think I am ISTJ or ISFJ.
I need structure, concrete facts.

Is there a way I can get tested for this (and the strong interest inventory), and if possible, for free?

Either are fine. Take the test and see what fits with the variations on the general theme. For example, if you test-

Introverted (>50%)
iNtuitive (<50%)
Thinking (<50%)
Judging (>50%)

Also check out the profiles for ISFJ, ISTJ, INFJ and see which seems most comfortable.

Has anyone else taken the tests and seen the pattern immediately? Anyone else see people as systems? I feel like I see social interaction as systems but fail to perform a function in the system.
