I seem to have spinal issues, not sure the exact term...but basically the spinal bones in my lower back are too close together so it causes tension, and is probably why I never could keep up with the other kids at school when it came to stretches in P.E class or any other activities requiring physical flexibility.

But yeah that is what an x-ray said so yeah, of all random physical issues it just had to be something that causes back pain.

Legs twisted in.
Greenstick twist-broken later by a "therapist". Almost point in correct directions now but, if i close my eyes i still feel them in their original positions. As a result i kick a lot of things by accident. And break toes... :? ... but fortunately (?) don't feel the pain :?

Yes, I have everything, and it's all to do with my NEUROLOGICAL condition (um, in another words, a condition IN THE BRAIN, not the physical body). The doctors didn't need to examine my behaviour because they just laid me naked on a table and examined me for abnormalities all around the body, and found loads and so they created an ASD, since all abnormalities are this common in people only with Autism, because Autism is the most biggest condition ever known to mankind. Oh, and NTs are these healthy, superhumans (I'm sure I saw loads flying today, wish I was NT so I could fly).

OK that was sarcasm, no I have not got any deformities at all, there are thousands of NTs out there who have far more of those listed on the poll than I do.

I have very mild scoliosis. As far as I know, it's a 5 degree curvature. It's not noticeable, visually, but it causes me great discomfort when I try to sit up straight (which caused me a lot of grief in the 5th grade, because my teacher was obsessed with proper posture).

The only other physical birth defect that I know of (well, technically not present at birth) was an absence of enamel on my teeth when they grew in. As such, I had my first teeth pulled when I was only two years old! Didn't matter how much attention was paid to my dental hygeine, my teeth had no natural defense, so I got cavities constantly. The dentist said the problem wouldn't be present in my adult teeth, but he was wrong! Nearly all of my baby teeth were pulled out, instead of lost naturally, and I've had 5 or 6 root canals on my adult teeth. Thankfully, they now have an enamel replacement paste that I use after brushing with normal toothpaste, and it helps a bit. I'm quite lucky that my most effected teeth are the ones in the very back of my mouth...the front ones are still very nice looking.

My heart is rapid and skips beats. Sometimes I go into spells where my heart goes into a flutter beat and I get light headed. I have been to doctors for this. I'm ok.

I was born with Choanal Atresia - a solid bone blockage in one side of my nose, I looked normal from the outside so it took a long time for me to receive help for this. (I'm not officially diagnosed because I'm a mild case but I meet the criteria for CHARGE syndrome which was mentioned earlier in this thread.) I also have a Mullerian and renal anomaly (septate/bicornuate uterus and an small extra kidney) which I found out by accident during an ultrasound when I was pregnant with my son. I'm also of short stature. I have minor colobomas (I have near perfect vision but have problems with contrast - I'm night blind, sensitive to glare) which I also found out about accidentally when I was assisting an optometrist by letting them practice using a newly acquired piece of diagnostic equipment on me. I think there is something going on with one of my ears as well, I have normal hearing but get vertigo I've never had it looked at. Clubbed thumbs and a few other small things....

I was born with a mole about the size of a dime on my cheek. That caused low self-esteem for me and I eventually got it removed when I was older. I have a bit of a speech problem, I tend to stumble over words because I talk really fast and I also have a bit of a lisp. I don't know why, my orthodontist said it's because my tongue is really big. It's not too bad though, I only really notice it sometimes when I hear my voice recorded. I've always had horrible fine motor skills, the muscles in my upper body are really weak.

My birth was really long. The doctor had trouble getting me out. He tried to use forceps and it didn't work. I think I was supposed to have a C-section but my mum really didn't want one. I forgot exactly how it went. I was in Intensive Care for awhile after I was born. Sometimes my mum thinks that the reason I don't like being touched and getting emotional is because I went straight to Intensive Care when I was an infant which was pretty isolating because it doesn't let the infant and mother bond. To this day my mother blames herself for not getting a C-section.

I think in the list "sealed nasal passage" should be separate from breathing and lungs and possibly lumped together with cleft lip/palate which I don't see listed and is much more common.

Pain in the knees and ankles, I also have no articulation in the center knuckle of my thumbs, I also have a rather high metabolism and breathing problems.

I was born with brain cysts. As a result of this, I also have part of my eye missing and Nystagmus.

I HATE these threads.

Is there any proof that any of these are all related to AS somehow, or does everyone on the spectrum really believe that all NTs are the most healthiest things on the planet? How come when I go in the doctors it's always full, and half the people aren't all old either?

I've got a big mole on my tummy, I might start associating it with AS and I will prove that by looking for moles on every NT in the world and if none of them have any big moles then it will be because of my AS.

Agreed. I have been told that some of my sensory issues might be related to AS; but there's also probable other causes.

Nothing related to Asperger's Syndrome, but I think I had a heart attack right after I was born. Easy enough to fix, though, and I've never had any heart problems afterwards.

Let's see...

- Umbilical cord wrapped around my neck
- High metabolism (I eat too much and this is "normal" to me)
- Bone deformities in my chest (slightly dented in below my nipples, slight protrusion in the middle "pigeon breast", more on the left side than on the right)
- Nosehedge-warp that made my breathing a bit difficult and might have resulted me having a bit of hearing loss in my ears, especially the left one
- Slightly high-arched feet (had to wear arch-support)
- Slight ear deformity (rims are a bit too folded)
- Slightly enlarged knuckles with a propensity for inflammation (runs in my family on my father's side)

Later in my life:
- Adenotomy, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and resectio septi nasi (nosehedge-warp straightened)
- I have a slight acquired bend in my spine and a slight dislocation of one waist vertebra

(I voted 'cosmetic')

Perhaps the one common thing in this thread is that people on the spectrum are more likely to have other developmental issues besides ASD. This by no means indicates that if someone doesn't have a singe 'abnormality' than one is not on the specturm or vice verse.

Sensory issues are part of AS because they've been listed down a lot under the ASD category and it's rationally common in most people on the spectrum to experience sensory issues.

But I don't believe ASDs affect physical features that don't have anything to do with the mind, like having a big middle toe. I've seen lots of people's feet and funnily enough everyone's feet seem different shapes and sizes. Also, if there were physical features in ASDs, they would have been listed down many times when reading up about ASDs, and I've never read anything that's physically related to ASDs in all the books and webpages that I have read up about ASDs, but when I've read up about Down's Syndrome, Fragile-X Syndrome, and even Soto's Syndrome, I have always read also that there are signifficantly common physical features in people with those conditions. And also, every time there has ever been threads about physical features in ASDs, how come different ones are always listed each time, with some things mentioned the complete opposite to what you last read?

I agree. I have a congenital heart anomaly, basically an extra vein going into my heart that was supposed to go away before I was born. It doesn't cause me problems. It was discovered when I had a panic attack and went to the ER. I think the panic attack was related to Asperger's, but not the heart anomaly.
