Oh god
Farts are hilarious but I get sooo pissed at the same time! I'm pretty sensitive to smells and I have a 19 year old brother... when he farts he likes to trap me in with it or do it and wait for me to notice. He'll wait behind me smiling. When it gets to me sometimes I want to go be sick and I get really mad and yell at him and call him horrible names, ask him if he was sure he shouldn't check himself in the bathroom lol... I mean I get really mad and my face turns red, but then I get even more mad at myself because it's STILL FUNNY. No matter how pissed off I am I laugh at the same time, so when I tell him to stop it he won't take me seriously because I'm laughing.
And I can't even get him back. I eat a really careful diet because of allergies and since I started it a few years ago I could probably count how many times I fart in a whole week just on one hand.

Oh, and there are three cats in my house, but for some reason animals always like me the best so the cats are always in my room. Animal farts are ... like... they burn the inside of your face. D':

I always want to stay mad when someone farts, but I'm too immature. I still laugh at the word poop.

what would really be funny, is the next time your bro farts on you, you barf back on him.

i knew someone who farted in his cat's face once, it hissed at him and ran away. and both poop and fart are funny, in concept at least.

Lmao I would have liked to see that. But then leave quickly away from the smell...

My dog is old and fat and sleeps all the time, but he wakes himself up farting. He hears it and jumps up all scared, then starts running around looking for the source of the horrible sound.

your dog reminds me of myself- i have been known to snore, and then i will snort loudly with a "HGCHRGUGHCOK!" and wake myself with a "Whatwhawhasgoinonhere?!" maybe your old dog could use a thick blanket or quilt to cover its hindquarters when it sleeps, so as to muffle any noisy vaporous emissions and give it a well-deserved peaceful uninterrupted sleep. just a thought. or you could pre-condition your dog to the noise by going around your place making flatulant noises with your hand on your mouth, like what a lot of us used to do as little kids. maybe if your dog hears the noise enough he/she will become inured to it after a while.

If someone farts, it can get nasty. If somebody sharts, however, you best run. Who knows what contents came shooting out. You especially don't wanna smell a shart when you've got food in your mouth lol!

Everybody farts, and some of us might sometimes laugh, but the question here is whether the experience is overwhelming for people like us ...

I have a support worker that is a vegetarian organic person and his are very profound and disturbing. Smog from cars on the road I have to pull up the window. Can't stand the smell of burning fuel. I have had ones that make my nose feel like it is burning from the smell.

 That's just evil!
Apparently there's a device available which makes an incredibly realistic fart noise but without the unfortunate side-effects. It's a short, flexible tube held in the hand and squeezed to make the noise.
I just wish I had the nerve to do what they're doing with it in this clip. Hmm, come to think of it - even if I did, I'd just be falling about laughing like an idiot.

Whatever "people like us" means, the users of this forum find farts extremely humorous and interesting, in many threads over the years: http://www.wrongplanet.net/gsearch.html ... .html#1031

The OP made that clear.

Sure, I understand ... and maybe I am being a little too concerned about how that is handled in a thread that was not begun for that purpose. So, break me in gently here if you think I am not seeing something correctly. The OP might or might not find farts funny ... and I am personally opposed to inconsideration such as even when someone might simply "let one loose" at a rather inappropriate time or place!

I don't know why but that's damn funny. Sound about as intelligent as dogs.
