Do you sometimes just HAVE to tell somebody something?

I feel the same way. It gets really difficult for me to concentrate in class when I get something that I have to say. For instance. Whenever there is a class disccussion, I need to state my opinion and argue my point, even after talking so much my teacher has to stop calling on me to let others talk. and some of my teachers are starting to do that preemptively.
I remember a couple of years ago I wrote a story, and when it came time to share with the class, I was so excited, and then I didn't get a chance to share mine. I had an almost total emotional collapse. I have this problem at home too. But I think the whole issue can be best stated in something my dad has said to me many times.
"You just have to enjoy the luxury of an unspoken thought"
the first time I heard that, it caused so much cognitive dissonance I'm surprised my head din't explode.
I then responed to him.
"How on earth is that even possible?! ! an unspoken thought isn't a luxury, its a freaking torture!"

Hey, I remember that happening to me too! (The needing to voice out something in class...though this only started to happen in my late teens-university, when I actually felt more or less confortable with speaking up among known people in a class). Especially if the debate was somehow close to my interests at the moment.

Though this is a serious issue, and somehow tragic (I have to agree with you still today, it IS torture), I just had to giggle at the head exploding thing.
....there, something unnecessary and maybe annoying I just had to blurt out.
