You should read Gulliver's Travels, Skibum.

There's a section where the horses are the smart ones, and the humans are "yahoos."

I will. I have not read that book since it was read to me when I was very little. I remember dad reading it to us. He really liked it. I will have to definitely read it.

A lot of those books we hold dear are actually adult level satire wrapped in stories that kids can love.

Flatland, Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, etc. etc.

Those guys knew how to skewer things in a very intelligent way.

I love the powerpuff girls! I always had fantasies about being a super hero so that might be why, at least in my case.
