Do you get asked for ID?

I don't smoke weed but I did accompany my friend to a local weed shop. The clerk asked for my ID. That took me by surprise and I showed it. A man standing in the store said, "Enjoy the compliment!" I did. I'm 53.

I always do, but I'm only 22 so I get why. I also look like I'm about 17 so I think that is also part of the reason.

The last time I was carded (proof age>=21 when buying alcohol) was on my 40th birthday.

I was asked for ID last year during the summer. As I am going prematurely grey, this only happens if my beard is short, and I'm wearing a hat.

I pretty much confuse the living hell out of people. My existence is confusing because I look young. I've gotten between the ages of no younger than 12, 14 as a mid rang, and between 16, and 17. I'm 26. I look like a child and worse is I'm small like a child.

I don't just get carded. I get these silent judgmental stares as I walk into a liquor store sometimes.
