I know how you feel. Since I don't wash my face in the sink, I don't have the exact same problem. But let's just say that when I wash the dishes, the floor gets a pretty good cleansing as well  .

When I was in a photo 1 class, we had to use these big sinks with long tubes attached to the faucets to develop the film. Every single time I developped a couple of rolls, I would end up spraying water everywhere. Either the hose would jump up out of the sink when I wasn't paying attention, or I'd do something really stupid like lift it up without realizing where the water was going to spray when I did so.

I always fell off my bike, too. But don't all kids do that? Aren't scabby knees a normal part of childhood?

Actually, I just asked my Husband if he fell off his bike all the time and he said, "No, almost never".

I'm also no good at stairs. I used to think that was because I grew up in a ranch house and never used stairs until I was in elementary school.

Hmmm. So here are 2 more aspects of my personality that need to be re-examined in the light of AS.

I often get my sleeves caught on doorknobs, usually while holding a full cup of coffee. I always spill the coffee, but sometimes I even manage to break the cup. Or rip my sleeve.

I seldom go through a doorway without smacking into the door frame.

Do I ever use a pen without writing on myself?

Do I ever eat a meal without spilling something down my front?

It's funny how I didn't really connect the dots about a lot of my problems--like clumsiness--before I was diagnosed. I guess I thought EVERYONE was constantly covered with random cuts and bruises. I guess I thought EVERYONE crashed into doorways. I just didn't notice it was only happening to me--and it was happening all the time.

I can relate to all of those- the number of rips I have in my clothes from catching them on the door is unbelievable.

And like you I didn't even realise I was clumsy till recently- despite always being covered in bruises and scratches and the occasional burn.

another bike story: once crashed into a concrete wall at the bottom of a hill when I was 5 or 6...that hurt alot. I now have a phobia of going down hills on bikes, I just can't do it. And as I live in a hilly area my bike lives in the garage and never sees sunlight.

/me passes Vetivert the chocolate and wine. Perhaps the more wrecks you've been in the more you will appreciate it when you get there. (Yes I know I suck at this kind of so perhaps I'll leave it at the chocolates and wine).
