I once calculated that I was 62.5 German, 12.5 percent French (by way of Quebec), and 25 percent English ( my Dad's side was all german, my mom's a mix of german, english, and french canadian).

Some smattering of Jewish from my Dad's Mom's side.
Maybe a little Irish from moms side as well.

37.5% Scottish - mainly Glasgow and Dumfriesshire
50% English - of which 98% Sussex Weald back as far as I can go. A line from Oxfordshire. A line from Norfolk. A line from the Normans.

Many of us do.

Well, that's the best I can do as far as saying what my ancestry is.

If you're interested in your ancestry, have you thought of looking up a Roma Family History Society? A lot of countries have them.

A few years ago I was really interested in it, but I kind of got stuck because my parents came from Hungary, and I don't speak Hungarian. Also, half the people in Hungary have my last name, just to make it more difficult.

That sucks. I wish I could suggest something useful.

Mostly Norwegian with a smidgen of German and Welsh from my father's side. Most of my ancestry is traced to the Trondheim area to be more precise.

My family genealogy is fairly well-documented due to my Mayflower ancestry, and based on what's written, I'm a classic Anglo-Saxon/Viking mixture:

50% Irish/Celtic

25% German (of that; 50% Alsace-Lorainean). Alsace-Loraine is now part of France, but went back & forth between German and French control since 900 A.D.

25% British

My mother's side came to America in 1651 with a group of educators from London, and they established the school system in Rhode Island. I'm a member of the Mayflower Compact Society, since my original ancestor (Dr. Robert Burdick) on my mother's side, married a woman (Ruth Hubbard), whose mother came over on the Mayflower.

My father's side came to America from Ireland in the late 1800s, and settled in Wisconsin.

A good chunk British/Scottish/Irish Celtic but I couldn't say what else may be in the mix, my fathers side at least seem to have escaped the Romans reach and would probably not have bred with them but I can't say about my mothers side so there could be genes from any of the invaders/settlers to Britain. Mostly I would just say I'm Western European with Celtic ancestry, I still live in Britain now and my ancesters on each side have as far back as I know.

I like genealogy, so I have a lot of info on who came from where in my family. At this point it is easier to say what I am not... so far I have found no relatives of mine coming from Asia. I am a mutt...
