It is also rumored that Hitler had medical problems preventing him from producing any offspring which might be why he never married.

Hitler married Eva Braun

I believe he married her only because they knew the end was near and he wanted reward her for her affection and loyality.

Okay, so now we are diagnosing Hitler with asperger's?

How about we just diagnose Josef Stalin, Eisenhower, Truman, Winston Churchill, Moussellini, and all the rest of the WWII leaders and get it over with?

LOL. Well, they don't have a research paper on them having aspergers ( http://www.lakartidningen.se/store/arti ... 1_1204.pdf
), and plus Hitler has greater notoriety.

By the way, is this thread Godwin's Law in reverse?

 . The revised law reads, "Any thread that starts out with a discussion on Hitler starts with tumultuous objections of disbelief, and then turns into civil discussion.". Maybe we should call it Windog's Law?

 That's a great idea and I will do that the very next time I encounter this phenomenon, assuming that I ever do encounter this phenomenon again.

hi folks,I think its clear that Hitler didn't have Autism, and i also think that this rumor is just so well known because AS is a trendy daignosis and hilter is famous itself too. This is of course bad news for us, the autistic people, because as a consequence, if hitler is related with autism, people will continue to think of autistic people as anti-social people, and this prejudice will stay longer. We should try to fight against this. We should just stick together and write a paper which shows that the claims are not true. Unfortunately this paper is written not in english :-(, but I think it would be right to fight against this nonsense research and not to just sit there and do nothing against this assXXXXX, who do character assasination to us.

I think we have to accept that for multiple reasons there are environmental and situation factors that make people turn bad. Whether they are NT or Aspergers. The data suggests there is no significant risk between having Aspergers and being more prone to being criminal so there is nothing to worry about.

People too often judge as "typical" the people they talk to and about and past on the internet all day, who are by their very nature less social outside their internet arenas. As a result, I've noticed people around these parts have developed some pretty rigid stereotypes about what it means to be an Aspie, and an Aspie male versus a female.

The more functional Aspie males whom I've met are so confident and charismatic as to BE almost narcissist, my Aspergian and second-generation genius ex-fiance being a prime example. There is no doubt in my mind he's going to be at least a state governor or US Senator someday.

I have a vagina, so naturally my testimony as an Aspie doesn't count ( ) but I'm freaking awesome at public speaking- I even won some awards for it in high school. I was in just about every performing arts programme my school had, often with leads, and enjoyed it very much.

So it's quite simply stupid to imply that someone with Autism cannot be charismatic- it may be that their Autism renders them not only hyperlexic but quite emphatic and passionate in their speech if it's a subject they care about. If they don't face problems with monotony of pitch (correctable) they could arguably be a more powerfully persuasive figure than an NT.

Seriously though. Posthumously "diagnosing" every quirky/weird/horrifying historical figure as being on the spectrum? Getting old, and just as irrational as it was with the first 43539 actors/musicians/politicians/whatever.

Well since I have a penis I shall restate everything you said in maybe 3 sentence and get credit for it.
Ive always been known as a good public speaker. I had a speech class last semester and had the highest grade, yet I made everything up on the spot. None of my speeches were planned for over 15 minutes. I simply have the gift of having the largest mouth in the south.

QFT.
Plus, it's irritating.

Out of all of them, Mouse-ilini is by far the best known and renown. His contribution to dictator-speech-making is the enormously mimicked grimace and arms akimbo stance.
I plan to create a cartoon mouse based on him.
