I learned how to write at about 4 years of age and learned how to read at 3.

I was four because my grandparents and mother felt that it was important. I was reading at two...so they figured "well, if you can do that, then you should learn how to do this immediately." It was not a fun time. I have always been a perfectionist so...there was lots of crying and general feelings of ineptitude.

I learned both reading and writing along with my peers at my first year in school. I could read at the age of 6 and write cursive at 7. I was much better at numbers by the time I went to school. I always had sloppy handwriting, I could never manage to do better.
