The first IQ test I took was from my homeschool teacher when I was at the time when I was a sophomore in high school I scored above 130. I took an IQ test for my Asperger's evaluation and I scored just an 87 (100 verbal/72 performance). My top scores were on the verbal comprehension subtests were I scored in the 90th percentile and above on vocablulary (91st) and information (95th). I scored 50th in similarities but was pulled down by scoring just at the 16th percentile in comprehension. My final verbal comprehsion was 86th percentile.

My other areas:
Working Memory Index: 18th percentile
Perceptual Organization Index: 3rd percentile
Processing Speed Index: 4th percentile.

My worst individual scores were in object assembly (1st percentile) and digit symbol coding (1st percentile). My evaluation report does that I am probably of actually of "average" or "above average" intelligence.

Thank's for the answers.
So most of you are overgifted (rational intelligence).

On most untimed/online tests I score around 150 though when I was 6 or 7 they gave me a professional test (I guess they thought I was stupid due to aspie-ness) and I think the person was a bit suprised to find that I got a perfect score (the test only gauged up to 170) and had a college reading level.

Later on in high school they gave me one of those national aptitude tests and accused me of cheating when I again maxed the scale in every category (except spelling where I still scored in the top 10%).

But I dont put much stock in any of that.. Im good at things with clear rules like tests but there are some skills Id give all my other talents up for.

Well, people with lower scores are less likely to enter a topic that says "Aspie IQs".
Anyway aspies usually have more logical intelligences.

I have never been formally tested, but just dabbling with some of those internet sites I get scores ranging anywhere from 86 to 131. My first attempt was that tickle test which scored 114

just did the one on iqtest.com and got 137, but an iq test is nothing really, it can differ from depending on how u feel at the time to how fast your brain is working on that day, etc. so really there is no true measurement of intelligence.

If they cant agree on a definition for intelligence how can they measure it? :P

Most IQ tests are made either on the Binet or Wechsler scale. They are an approximation of your intelligability, in those things that can be measured, like verbal skill, logical skill, spatial skill etc. They can not measure creativity for just one example.

Just took the IQ-test at iqtest.com, and got a 132. Most of the people I've ever known call me a genius, but on tests, especially timed ones, I greatly struggle with distraction, my mind going off on tangents to escape the boredom. Unfortunately, all the time I spend just pulling my mind back on track (often from a tangent of thinking about the test's incorrectly-phrased questions) is counted as my "thinking time".

That's always been one major irony for me in almost all test-taking experiences I've ever had: Because my mind is fertile enough to think of multiple ways of interpreting a question, THAT means my score is LOWER? On the other hand, the guy who can't dream of more than one way to interpret the question gets a higher score -- AKA the guy who is NT, and therefore better understands how people talk. I can tell that every test I take doesn't even begin to interface with my brain. Then, they say: "Here's your score!" Yeah... right.

On online tests, I generally score between 125-145. One test I took at college was a disaster. I completely tanked on the block design portion of the test, proof that not all people with AS are spatially oriented. My strengths are general knowledge and verbal skills.

The tests I have taken in the last 15 years have ranged from 125 to 135. My self perception is that socially, I am just functioning. Therefore, I am surprised that 100 is considered "average". Part of it is that I have to believe that I am smart enough to get some things done.

Momoftom,

I don't even know if they made a distinction when I was tested officially, but there are about 7 different IQs, and the normal IQ tests only test like 3-4 of them. One of the IQs they don't test is social. I might as well say. When I was last tested officially, my IQ was 154. Frankly, I haven't told very many people, but with IQs flying about, OH WELL, might as well!

My SOCIAL IQ is probably, just my estimate, like 80! I'm nice, courteous, can communicate well, can be "a team player", and even understand a lot of what I am lacking. Coworkers tend to like me. I usually get invited to lunch, dinner, etc... They may EVEN invite me to sports games though they KNOW I hate those events. ALSO, a number want ME back for new projects. Still, I ALWAYS knew I am basically a MORON when it comes to social matters. BTW Oddly, I told THAT to a lot more than I told about my IQ. But HEY, I guess most here are. No offense to anyone, but you know what I mean. 8-) It's basically a requirement for AS.

linguistic (measured and AS tend to excel)
logical-mathematical (measured and AS tend to do OK or excel)
spatial (measured and AS tend to excel)
musical
bodily-kinesthetic(AS tend to do poorly)
intrapersonal
interpersonal(AS tend to do poorly HERE also)

I guess we should be happy that the parts IQ tests test just HAPPEN to be where we excel! Frankly, I'm probably mid average musical, high intrapersonal, low average bodily-kinesthetic, and FORGET interpersonal!

Steve
