Absolutely, aspies suffer from anxiety. I've suffered with it for much of my life. I've recently been reading a book that's realy good and has been helping me with my anxiety. It's called "Asperger Syndrome and Anxiety: A Guide to Succesfl Stress Management" by Nick Dubin. He's a mental health professional and fellow Aspie. The book addresses specifically anxiety as it relates to our specific problems and then he summarizes stetegies for dealing with anxiety. I'm not finished with t yet, but what I've read so far is helping me.

Also, go ahead and get a new psych. That one isn't taking you seriously. The place that diagnosed you might have a list of psychs who are more used to dealing with AS issues and can give you a referral.

I went last Thu to see my doctor, prepared to fire him. But I made my case and he admitted that made a mistake since he never worked with people with AS. He said that I should go ahead with the testing ate the autism center and he will accept whatever diagnosis and recommendations they come up with. But since the solution is about two months away I still need him for the anti-anxiety medications. So we'll see. My first part of the test is on Dec 13th.
