Which sounds/noises do you find tolerable vs. intolerable?
10/10: if you have the patience. Hypnotic. My ears pick up/create new sub-melodies every time I hear this. Just choose the notes you want to accentuate in the back of your mind and small little auditory nothings appear/disapear. Repetition is a lot less concrete than one may think, it leaves some room for you to notice the subtleties of things. If you like marimbas.
If they sound like they are breaking rhythm at times, it's intentional. It's called phase shiffting. If you have someone thats playing a constant stream of notes and others are playing their own streams, one of them can start playing their stream just a little faster whille the others keep solid tempo. They accelerated and eventually stop when their stream is now in-line with the others but because of the shift, they are one note "ahead" (takes about 5 seconds for a smooth phase in these videos). It really changes how the layers interact and what you hear. All of a sudden you are confused as to what each musician is contributing to the overall sound. The music has become somewhat autonomous with the musicians appearing as if they are just hitting marimbas with a recording in the background (e.g., nice shift in 1st video 3:20-3:35). It's like "row row row your boat" when two people sing at the same time, but one person is one word ahead. With phase shifting Imagine they initially started together on the same word, but one sped up and near the end of the song they are now one word "off". Sorry for rambling.
Reich's actual CD recording of Drumming is performed even more flawlessly.

Those sounds....:
I don't know the reason but is worse than fingernails scratching a blackboard.
And the sound of felt pens, as well, especially on photographic paper or similar surfaces.
I don't know but for me all those sounds sound similar and it sounds bad but I couldn't explain why but it almost hurts to hear them.
Other sounds I don't like: chewing sounds and loud breathing.
