I've always dreamed of an asperger collective

Living at home sucks. Here, I feel like a five-year-old. Living alone would be a luxury. But I'm broke right now.

On the other hand, living with a partner who understands me would be wonderful too.

That's an interesting dream. Part of me would like to participate if such a collective existed, but I also think aspies can be very hard on other aspies, so it might be difficult to make it work.

I'll be the crazy lady with a million dogs, cats, hamsters, etc...

It will be glorious.

^^^

I've always thought "crazy cat ladies" were unfairly maligned, possibly because many of them are aspies and the diagnosis just didn't exist until recently.

As long as you have the time/money/energy/space to care for all the animals you have and it doesn't turn into one of those nightmare animal hoarder situations with feces on the floor, nothing wrong with have lots of animals.

Share housing with both NT's and aspies - that's what I voted on. haha.

no one wants to do that!

I'm surprised.

Then again, I'm asexual and I suppose most adult Aspies & NTs would be looking for such a thing.

I am 29 and I should move out SOON.

So, I am searching for the *right* NT (in my area) so I could trustfully let him/her do all the regular

I chose living alone with, in my case, animals. I have had so much trouble living with other people. It makes me so anxious and stressed. I prefer the financial stress of renting my own place than the stress that comes from dealing with a share mate.

If I were to find a significant other who understands me completely, maybe I'd share. But I would need my own space, my "woman" cave so to speak. But as I get older, I doubt more and more that I'll find the right person.

I would do so much better if I lived alone... No more noise or distractions, no more having to waste my time because someone insists I watch some awful movie with them, no more complaining about how I spend one full day of my weekend doing nothing but homework... Most importantly: no more forgetting to do things because someone takes down my sticky notes and throws them away!
