Yeah I have a best friend.......an ex military dude twice my age. But yeah we do really care about each other and I mean he's kinda into me......but I'm not really into relationships anymore. So yeah we settle as being really good freinds to each other. It's just funny some weird hippie chick(me) chilling with an ex military dude. But we like being around each other.

I have, (or have had) best friends in the past but none as an adult.

One in particular, who I've known since I was 4 and he was 3 was probably my best one. We have enough history to fill a library. But people change and develop and often at different rates.

I eventually realized (several years ago now) that playmates and childhood friends aren't quite the same thing as adult friends and that to sustain a friendship across different phases of life it must be repeatedly refounded on new bases.

I never figured out a way of doing this, so although we have remained friends if only in the hollow, superficial, sense commercialized by Facebook, we are no longer close. No longer having someone like that is tough sometimes.

My tractor and shovel are my two best friends. And sometimes my motorcycle.. and the computer.. I'd have an outdoor cat if it weren't for the coyotes. I can't deal with the smell of an indoor cat.

As far as humans go, no best friends and only a few quasi acquaintances.

I don't have one best friend, but I have a group of very close friends. I've been friends with most of these people since 8th/9th grade. I don't have any friends who I hung out with before that time. We hang out quite a bit on our rare free times but always have a great time. WE can talk about almost everything.

I currently have no best friend

Growing up my best friend was a girl called Jennesta - our parents were best friends so we were raised like sisters and did everything together to the point where not a day went by when we weren't together, but when our parents fell out our friendship was ruined too. In high school I had 'best friends' (Vicki, Rachael and Alex) but being high school they would tease and not be totally trustworthy so not sure they could really be shown as examples of best friends, after Alex died in a car crash I drifted away from the other two a little then more so when we left school.

As an adult my best friend was James - we rarely see each other now as we no longer work together and as I'm unemployed I can't go out or meet him for lunch like we used to, we've also had issues as he's not used to seeing asperger's causing problems for me so was judgemental when I last had a meltdown (James deemed this 'causing drama' - hypocritical as James' anger management issues often see him starting fights with me or getting us banned from clubs).

Yes, though we're drifting apart as he is starting a family. I have another good friend that I suspect of being an aspie as well.

Yep. We've known each other since 3rd grade, talk at every opportunity at school and email during summer. And a few months ago I found out he is an aspie also.

I have two best friends, two close friends, 4 casual friends, and a whole bunch of acquaintances (at least 10). All of them, except some of their acquaintances, are older than I am.

I only have animal "friend". Which is my own cat.

Three. I would trust them with anything- they accept me for who I am and ACTUALLY try to understand me.
