It seems that the news is portraying every mass murder as having Asperger's. Just the belief that Seung-Hui Cho had Asperger's by his relatives went all over the news. Then we had the Sandy Hook elementary tragedy in which Adam Lanza who is speculated to have Asperger's committed another mass murder, the second worst mass-shooting in U.S. history. From his behavior there was additional factors involved in the shooting. For one thing his mental health and that his mother tried to have him committed to a mental health facility and when Adam found out that is what likely triggered him to commit the mass-murder. Adam Lanza's mother tried to have him committed after she found him burning himself with a lighter. That does not look like Asperger's, but one who has serious anger or stress related issues like depression or bi-polar. Adam did have Asperger's but it was absolutely not the main factor in the shooting. There are many NT's that commit acts much worse than that. Adam Lanza also had Obsessive-Compulsive-Disorder. Adam was also diagnosed as having Sensory Integration Disorder. It was likel Adam's OCD that led to he mass-murder as after Columbine he became obsessed with mass-shootings and his mom's betrayal and his Obsession caused a toxic mix which led to the mass-murder.

If his mom didn't try to commit him to a mental health facility, the shooting would of likely not happened. The reason for that is that Adam had little to no friends due to his social isolation and he very likely considered his mom and his brother to be his friends and all h had, and when he found out that his mom was trying to "get rid of him" he felt betrayed and he fought with his mom and killed her, before he drove off to the school and killed 20 children and six adults, himself included.

Why should people like us suffer discrimination for the rest of or lives just because those other people had the same labels as us, just because a few apples are rotten, doesn't mean the whole bunch is.

Unfortunately the news media is looking for any excuse to list any disability to a mass-shooter and if the person is even speculated to have Autism/Asperger's the news media will be all over that.

Now some people believe that everyone with Asperger's are like psychopaths. That will significantly hinder our lives. For example, I wanted to go into the United States Air Force as a reserve so I could join the Hurricane Hunters, but now just because of my diagnosis alone I can't join! A recruiter told me that I have to be in perfectly sound mental health and any diagnosis of either psychological and or developmental disorder is an automatic disqualification.

They told me that the only way I could get in was if a doctor determined that I was fit for service, but after all the stigma there is as a result of these mass shootings, including The Oregon shooting by Harper-Mercer and last year's shooting by Elliot Rodger. Harper-Mercer was an ISIS Sympathizer and actually bought an ISIS flag online and Elliot Rodger was prejudice against females because he couldn't get a kiss from a girl once, and you know what Elliot Rodger didn't deserve a girl, because if he got one, he would of likely became abusive to her.

The reason Elliot couldn't get a girl is simple his difficulty with socializing due to Asperger's, which is typical for us, but do we act violently like he did, of course not! It bothers me of even more to see he news media demonizing us because of a rotten few people. Also, The Virginia Tech Massacre perpetrator Seung-Hui Cho who was speculated to have asperger's might of had it, but he was not diagnosed.

I really hope that people realize that just because we are different that doesn't mean we are bad.
