I'm usually playing video games, on the internet, or on Skype/MSN until the early morning. When I see the first sunlight, I go to bed. Thirty minutes later, I always have to go to the bathroom, but that's more because I spend the time before going to bed drinking a lot of water to keep my mind clear. I usually wake up somewhere late in the morning or early in the afternoon if I don't have to go anywhere, and unfortunately just after I usually go to bed on weekdays apart from holidays. It's not a ritual, though - it works. Although I have headaches sometimes.

I wear one of my two outfits specifically reserved for sleeping, lock all doors, ensure all windows are locked (though I don't open them), check for spiders, listen to Dunkelwerk (or similar music by another artist) and engage in tactile stimming until I'm out.

I have done tactile stimming to fall asleep for as long as i can remember and was unable to sleep without doing it. just didnt realise why until now.

Sometimes, if that's not enough, I place heavy metal objects on my body as well. I find both to organize and focus my mind (and the thoughts within), which is imperative for a decent rest (hard to sleep with distracting stimuli and a million thoughts racing through your mind). I'm not sure if it's the same for you (or anyone else for that matter).
