I would have to say...men. Unhealthy, abusive men (I didn't realize that they were abusive).

For a moment I thought: "unhealthy" as in: "unhealthy, fattening food", lol. I'm very interested in crime, I like reading about serial killers.

As a child:
worrying that the house would burn down
the backs of my ears "not matching"
my eyelashes feeling tangled (I actually cut them off once!)
..to name just a few
As an adult:
Morgellons disease
bringing bedbugs home from a hotel
spending every waking moment on the computer
hair pulling
still pull at my eyelashes because they still feel tangled but I don't cut them off anymore
Always feeling the need to help people and never feeling that I've done enough for them
Weather, thunderstorm anatomy and terminology and boring my husband with all of it

Most unhealthy for me were any MMO's I got into, like World of Warcraft or Star Trek Online. Now I don't play video games at all.

I've had an unhealthy obsession over people before, when I was a bit younger. After being obsessed over myself and stalked, it shocked me because it's a really horrible feeling. I didn't want to make anyone else feel that way so I forced myself to stop having those obsessions.

Stupid doctors that don't know what's wrong even though my blood pressure almost broke the blood pressure guage it was so high and they didn't know what was causing it.

Stupid doctors that don't know the difference between an ovary and a tumor.

Stupid doctors that don't know what is causing the pain behind my sternum.

Stupid doctors that don't wash their hands between patience or using the restroom.

Stupid doctors that set up surgery for me when I didn't know anything about it.

I have become so obsessed about going to doctors that I haven't been back to those idiots that call themselves doctors since 2009, because the medicines they were giving me just made matters much worse. Doctors, especially stupid ones just want to fill a person with dangerous drugs so they can line their own pockets and making more money for those greedy pharmaceutical companies who can care less about us.

On the surface, this seems like a pretty harmless thing to most people, but it has given me a lot of grief: my obsession with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, and their movies.

With their movies, I always, always feel torn between my passion and loyalty towards them and my desire to seek out other movies and shows. I've had several people on WP and my psychiatrist all say that it sounds like my obsession with Burton/Depp movies is coming to an end and I'm just experiencing grief and guilt over it. But this has been going on for several months to a year, yet I can never truly stop loving those movies. My love for these movies is such an emotional rollercoaster that sometimes I start to regret that I even got obsessed with them in the first place.

I've obsessed over people a few times before. Excessive computer use. A big one with me is writing letters of complaint about something and not wanting to let it drop. I have a thing about justice and fairness, and because the goal is 'what's right' I won't stop, unless it reaches a point that I've exhausted absolutely every single avenue and still got nowhere, so have no choice.

I used to be quite obsessed with watching documentaries about murders on the TV, I don't think that was very healthy.

The Holocaust used to be one of my special interests, that was depressing and unhealthy but I've tried to turn it into a positive - I know a lot and can tell people about it if it comes up in conversation and it's an important subject that people should know about.

Another thing I'm currently interested in (not necessarily "obsessed" with) is exploitation movies...you know, B - movies and horror movies. I've only seen a couple really messed - up ones, which are not the worst ones by a long shot, but I can see why someone would think an interest in such things is "unhealthy."

...I think this particular interest stems from my childhood when people saw how much I still liked plushies, DragonTales, My Little Ponies, etc, and would scoff, "You're too old for that sort of thing; you should like things more age - appropriate." So, I have this need to constantly prove to everyone that I'm not immature and can handle absolutely anything. The trouble is, no one ever told me what things I was "supposed" to like other than "childish" things, so I pretty much had to guess.

P.S. - I still love plushies, cartoons, and MLP, it's just that I try not to publicly advertise it these days.

Least healthy is definitely my latest...I started bodybuilding about a year ago and with every physical improvement came massively increased critical analysis of my physique, muscular proportions and all that Jazz. I'm in crazy good shape but I'm so insecure I find it extremely difficult to take my shirt off at the beach or pool. I should have known before I started.
