Most people don't understand racism, myself included. I don't think its an autism thing.

I find racism to be rather antediluvian, illogical and unnecessary. Even the term is awkward. Wouldn't humans of varying skin colors be species of humans, much like there's species of snakes which have different colors and minor variations in shape? Wouldn't thais make people who hate others based on color be "speciests" or "specists?"

As for the "us vs. them" mentality, I have found it to exist among the ASD community as well. Look on some forums and in the comments on YT or others' blogs. There are plenty of people who are pro autistic and anti Asperger's, claiming aspies are perverted, cunning, manipulative, prone to violent outbursts and have a propensity to comment crimes, while auties are "robotic" and thus are innocent, totally neglecting the fact that they are on the AUTISM spectrum. I have even seen people who support Autism Speaks claim that aspies are out to divert attention from those with autism. There is also an NT vs spectrumites mentality all too commen in the ASD community. Humans are humans and as such are sometimes subject to having the same beliefs and values as others.

Sorry if I confused you. By talking about blue people I was being sarcastic (Something I am still trying to do well  ), and by material I was speaking metophorically, comparing the color of peoples skin to different colors of fabric (I enjoy sewing, so it was a metephor that made sense to me), not genetic materials, or things like that.
Anyway, thank you for reading my post so closely, and pointing such things out. :D Sorry if I caused offense, because I never meant to

Thank you. I wasn't telling you what to say or what not to say, or that you even had to share my opinion on the phrasing you used. Just providing information.

I was trying to make a point about how this stuff is all around us even when it's not understood, it's easy to pick up some of it without realizing it.
