I have visual hypersensitivity so I don't like bright colours. Most of my clothes are dull colours or black.

White is the worst for me....too bright and makes me squint.

I like bright, bold colors with the exception of pure Yellow, too much yellow makes me stimmy.

Bright colors are a HUGE problem for me. It's definitely a sensory issue. On a good day, they are unpleasant. On a bad day, seeing something bright orange is like being punched in the face. I HATE the current fashion for neon yellow.

Last year I was presenting to a large group of colleagues and had to stop and ask them to put away the neon-colored post-its that someone just handed out to them in an attempt to be helpful. It was embarrassing.

I don't particularly like bright colours at all.

I have never really liked bright light or colors. I prefer to sit at home with all the blinds closed, all my clothes are dull colors, I get headaches with bright light. My D3 is actually quite (7 I believe) so my doctor has me taking 5000 iu daily, thing is I like planting and gardening so even though I'll get a headache I will go out in the back yard to grow things. Right now it's winter so my 10 foot tall cactus I have grown from a 6 inch cutting is sitting in the kitchen.

I wear dark blue, grey, and black mostly. I try to branch out sometimes and wear lighter shades of blue. My favorite color is a reddish orange. I really love colors. But I like to hide in the background, so I usually don't wear stand out things. As I've aged, this has altered a little.

I'm fascinated by bright colors, I love watching shiny objects and I hate being in an underlit room. I need a lot of light to function. Yellow though not white, white bulbs and fluorescent light are very irritating to my eyes (and my mood).
But this doesn't apply to my clothing, I wear dark colors.

Speaking of bright light, I came to realize a few months ago that my preferred restaurants inevitably have plenty of natural light.

There's a restaurant next door to my office with almost no natural light. If I want to eat their food, I nearly always bring it back to the office. The same went for another restaurant that used to be a block away -- I didn't like to eat there at all.

The two restaurants that I go to more often, both hamburger places, have lots of light. I can go there in the afternoon and be about the only one around and I have plenty of light to read by. The one that's a part of a fast food chain has good light at night so I go in there at night. The one that isn't part of a chain doesn't have as good light and so I tend to avoid it after dark.

There's an excellent Japanese place in a nearby town, but I can't even imagine going in at dark. They have very poor lighting inside and they have very effective blinds so that even in the daytime it is like you are eating at night. When I go in there in the daytime, I do two things -- I make sure that I'm sitting next to the windows on the south side and I open the blinds so that I have some light.
