Come to think of it - for a long time in my adolescence I was friends with a guy who was not a full blown sociopath- but kinda close to that. Havent seen him in decades but have been thinking about him lately.

I was kinda drawn to him- the reason being that though I considered him a deviant individual -he was deviant in ways opposite of the ways I was deviant. I was an aspie with no friends never dated and so forth. He was the ultimate street wise person who new how to get laid-like the fonz or something. Was able to do that because was good at manipulating.

Like I felt that i was deficient in the things he had too much of- so if learned from him it would even out. My friendship didnt really improve my life much, and may indirectly damaged things (thats another story). But that could be a common reason "aspies would like sociopaths"- not that ive seen evidence thats anykind typical pattern though.

I have AS and I hate psychopaths, they're annoying and they get in my way (jk I've never known one as far as I know).

But seriously, I think (imo) that anyone who likes/defends psychopaths would have to be a little psychopathic themselves... no offense to anyone here.

or they know from their own experiences that people external to the experience very rarely know anything about such an existence, it is even rarer for people to understand it.

it's called perspective.

Having a different perspective, doesn't excuse psychopathic behavior. I can understand if someone would find it interesting for their own views for purely philisophical reasons, but defending them would take like-minded views imo.

I'm sure most Aspies don't like psychopaths. You can't judge us all over the opinions of two people, one of whom may not actually be an Aspie.

While I do find psychopaths interesting, I don't like them!

The view that they are in any way good for society is very strange.

That's not true at all. They know how to do that just fine, they just don't care unless it will help them get what they want.

I love psychopaths. Everything tastes good when it sits on a ritz.

you are right it doesnt excuse psychopaths implicitly,

but neither does it condemn them, there are plenty of people that statistically fall within the bounds of psychopathic tendencies yet live quite normal lives.(1 in 10 males i believe fall within that category)

what i am saying that it is amazing that on a board where many people themselves have been ostracized that one should see such a stigmatizing and hatefull language towards another group that at least to some extent stand in a similar position.

it is perfectly normal and acceptable to condemn the behavior of an individual or upon repeated incidents deem that individual themselves nothing but trouble, it is something quite else when one condemns a whole group of people no matter circumstance.

I don't hate psychopaths because I can understand that they can't understand. Psychopaths don't choose to become psychopaths, and I pity them because of that. Many psychopaths actually learn to blend in with society, so that's why I dislike general 'all psychopaths must die' statements, bosses in big business usually show psychopathic traits. Other people with those views probably don't usually feel as strongly about them as I do, and that's because 'psychopathic' is a word that others have used to describe me in the past, and naturally that's had some kind of effect on me (although the description can be evidenced as being very wrong).

I find them interesting too, but that's irrelevant.

I know, it was an accident. None of my posts seem to work until the site appeared to go down and come back online.

I deleted what I could :|

I personaly am interested in psychopaths because I´d like to know how their minds work. So it´s entirely because of scientific reasons. I like to dissect other people´s minds, I find human psyché in general very interesting.

I have been an Aspie all my life and I do not particularly like wicked or harmfully insane behavior.

When it comes to life and property I operate by the numbers and by the book.

Psychopaths are the only group I actually hate. I have had dealings with them in the past and never will again. I particularly dislike the attempts I've seen by some of them to link themselves to the autistic community, to blur the lines and benefit from our more "harmless" image (of course now we're being portrayed as more and more dangerous).

I am a diagnosed psychopath male.one thing I have noticed is that I have always each and everytime attracted an aspie women who later becomes obsessed with me.they all are very attractive in the physical sense.I really do think that female aspies love male psychopaths.not sure if it is the other way round also though.
