An Arduino Uno, with 3 other shields.

I'm writing sketches to make it perform a few basic chores around my ham shack.

A smart phone... Promptly returned it to the store... and bought a better smart phone (Lumia 920).

Of course, that also means that the greatest victim of my Christmas so far has been my account balance... :shaking: ... but I guess this is to be expected...

Having desecrated my stocking, I found in it from Father Christmas (really me)

Two tangerines
£6:30p (about $12:60c in US terms)
A paddleball bat and ball
A mini chess set
A mouth organ
Some fake penalty tickets to put on random cars at stupid'o'clock in the morning when noone is awake to see me do it
A laser pen
A bookmark
A "T" seal and sealing wax
Two packs of Vienesse truffles
Three packs of chocolate coins
A compass
Three mini chocolate logs with marzipan robins
Three chocolate puddings
A small slab of chocolate.

From others I got...

A red gala silk shirt that makes me look like Father Christmas.
Big black boots that also look like Father Christmas's.
A big back Father Christmas like belt embossed with red stars.
A dark blue denim shirt.
A map where you hang it on the wall and scrape off a gold foil covering of the countries that you have been to.
A regifted book to write in.
A 2012 diary.
A 2012 Taylor Swift calendar (not as good as the 2011 one but it has some good pics of her.)
A book called "Buried Alive" about the history of live burial.
A book called "Many Skies" about how things would be with different star systems.
A book called "Christmas-a candid history" about Christmas traditions
A blue plastic sledge
A £15 I-tunes card
A book called "A horrid history of Christmas"
A £25 I-tunes card
And a book by Condalezza Rice.

haha, I was actually going for Nephrite, a subspecies of Actinolite, also know as Jade. (the mineral variety preferred by classical Chinese scholars over Jadeite, which is more prominent in precolumbian mesoamerican cultures). but yes there's some ambiguity in how you can read the chemical formula. (I should also add that only a few forms of Asbestos are harmful to human health even though all of them are banned in the US)

I got bronchitis for christmas, went to the doctor and said I was close to having pnumonia. Doctor put me on some strong meds though and I seem to be getting better gradually.

One thing that made me happy was that my parents said they'd help me go to school this spring so I can retrain and go into a field more suited for me.

I had first Christmas with my family on December 17th; so my first gift was getting to spend time with my loved ones. I had to get up at 4:30 in the morning and stay out among people till late afternoon to do this, though! That was draining for me. Anyway... That day I received from people:

An orange.
A microwave dish cover.
A bag of candy canes and candy.
A box of chocolate covered mints.
A flower candle holder.
A magnetic fish shaped pen.
A magnetic memo pad.
A $20 amazon gift card.
$10
A few animal shaped stones (one of my favorite gifts! My sis knows me well!)
A crystal tree.
A candle.
A wooden box with owls on the cover, made in India.
A package of body lotions.
A flashdrive with pictures of my cats and an aunt and uncle's cats.
I gave myself a video game: Devil May Cry HD Collection for Xbox 360
(I may have forgotten something.)

My boyfriend (nick007) bought me a collectible knife for Christmas, I love looking at it.

On Christmas day I received a $25 Walmart giftcard, a bar of zum soap (it smells wonderfully), and a pair of comfy socks from Nick's parents. I wasn't expecting anything, so the best present was them including me in their Christmas, they even put my name on a stocking and hung it near the fireplace with theirs. Then I met part of Nick's extended family and one of his aunts gave me a scarf. There was a box of food, dirty rice, fish fry, jambalaya mix from that aunt and uncle too, along with a $30 Walmart giftcard labeled as being for both of us. Another aunt gave us a George Foreman grill. Now that's an interesting present, not my sort of thing at all. I don't like cooking that much! And I have no idea how to bring that back on the bus from Louisiana to Vermont. Oh, well. Very nice of them all to make me feel welcome.

Nick's grandparents gave me a $20 Walmart giftcard today.

One of my brothers called me tonight and asked me if I have an updated Amazon wishlist; I wondered why it had to be updated, do I ever stop being interested in what I'm interested in? He's going to get me a present sometime later, waaaay after holidays have ended.

I got exactly what I wanted: my kids were happy.

And that's the only thing I got.
