I hope several of you that answered yes don't go and make any threads about how you can't get a girlfriend.

Ridiculous. When I'm out for my evening walk and some drunk morons who just happen to be halfway attractive females start catcalling, I'm supposed to ask one of them out?

Of course not, but still, you CAN get a girlfriend if you want to. So stop whining that you can't. Maybe you should lower your standards if you're desperate enough to make a pity thread about girlfriends.

I can get guys, but not ones i'm interested in, so i'm always single. But the difference between me and someone else is that I DON'T make whiny threads about it.

For the record, guenuine threads about being lonely are fine. But just not if the person is lonely from being picky and choosy and then doesn't know why they are lonely.

Right. Lower my standards so that I can spend my time with a girl I have nothing in common with and thus makes me even lonelier than being alone and *voila* everything is fine!

Brilliant.

How come I don't meet these girls who walk up to a random (and shy) guy and offer to perform sexual acts?

That's all I have to say to that.

I was referring to the previous bit about lowering your standards.

To me, women are like dairy products. I like them but they don't like me

As for unwanted attention: I've had to decline at least 5 women over the last 2 years because all were bi-polar or had other serious mental health issue.

Another type I tend to attract in substantial numbers are ones already in a very dysfunctional relationship with an abusive man and no intestinal fortitude to break off the relationship. I don't mind lending an ear but when she turns around and spreads her legs for that pile of sh!t, that's when I have to tell her: "I leave it up to you and him, I won't have any part in it".

I'm straight and I like girls but I tend to be very shy around them. But then again, i'm shy around most people in general. I once knew this girl in the 5th grade who was a really great friend of mine. She also had Asperger's and I had a crush on her. Strangely enough, she had a twin sister who was severely low-functioning autistic and her nanny made the twin go wherever she went. Kind of ruined the idea of a date but that was in the 5th grade. I only wish that I could cross paths with her again someday. She and I were very much alike and we both loved animals and Spyro The Dragon. *Sigh* If only I could find another girl who was like her.......
