I can't stand pop (with the exception of ginger ale)...it is way too sweet. I can't stand most sugary drinks, but love juice, especially orange juice.

I love the taste of all teas and all kinds of coffee, even espresso. I also like wine and beer of all varieties.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

It takes me a whole day to finish one cup of coffee because I am extremely sensitive to caffeine. I am switching to tea's because they don't have as much caffeine and I can drink it faster without it getting cold.

I like to drink water
Orange juice
Tea

Nothing else, I hate pop or other fruit drinks, the sugar and fizz makes me feel gross.

Me too. I'm positively addicted to Evian.

At the moment I mostly drink tap water because I'm a poor student. :) I love diet coke, but I prefer the cheap brands, because the original Coca Cola has a mouldy aftertaste for me (which nobody else seems to notice). I also love lemon Ice Tea. Every few days or so I drink coffee, either completely black or with milk and 2 teaspoons sugar.

Sometimes I drink milk or juice. I agree that juice with fruit pieces is terrible, as well as some kinds of joghurt drink that have oats in them or any kind of pieces, it almost makes me sick.

Volvic mineral water is very nice. I also like orange juice. I had it for lunch. A man can't be too careful with his weight!

I'm pretty particular about what I drink, but don't know if it's AS-related.

LOVE
Coca-Cola
Iced Tea with a little sugar and lemon
Hot Tea with milk and (Twining Irish Breakfast steepd 4.5 minutes)
Any kind of grape drinks -- juice, Kool-Aid, Gatorade, Sunkist, etc.
Orange Juice -- pulp-free please
Sierra Mist Natural

HATE
Pepsi products
Coffee -- it smells great, and tastes OK at first, but the aftertaste gags me.
Alcohol -- I've been known to drink a vodka-based drink from time to time, but I really never developed a taste for the stuff.
Beer -- I know this is also alcohol, but it deserves its own category. Tastes like rotten apples or stale bread to me.
Diet colas -- I can handle clear drinks, but Diet Coke is disgusting.
Apple Juice -- didn't like it as a baby, don't like it now.
"Sweet" Tea -- that horrifyingly syrupy concoction invented in the homes of the Deep South and somehow made its way to Texas.

That is exactly why I asked this.... trying to get a little bit of data to see if there is any pattern :)

Results? So far, no apparent pattern.

NT's I've been asking the same question around me are usually very picky about their drinks. Maybe we're a little more set in our pickiness, is the only thing I could tell.

Maybe off topic here, but there is a strange phenomenon here in Ontario, Canada:

Tim Horton's

It's pretty much just a normal coffee & snack shop, like the dozen other chains we have on every corner. But *every* Tim Hortons has a giant line-up around it, all day and every day. While the other coffee shops are mostly half empty. Sometimes the city even changes the road around a newly opened Tim Hortons, because the line-up of cars can actually back up the entire street!

And people around here just have to have their Tim Hortons coffee in the plain paper cups. They won't brew the Tim's coffee at home, not even in the Tim's own brewer they sell. It got so funny that we began theorizing that Tim's puts some sort of addictive substance in their cups :D

..... and these people sitting in the line-up, sometimes for ten minutes and late for work, for a paper cup of coffee, are NT's !

You don't want to get me started on TH, I don't understand this either and my moms one of the people you speak of, I hate the place the baking is always par-baked, small sized and stail and the atmosphere inside is horrible since the last or secound last rebrand, very bad value!

One singer songwriter I know of refers to the coffee is a cup of crack, claiming it as the addictive substance you speak of since meny of the people buying it claim to not prefer it. TH also often fails blind taste tests so the obsession really puzzles me too, even more so since Mickey D's often gives theres away for free.

The home brewer was just a cheap re-brand of a chinese knock-off and was recalled at least once I recall. If you want a coffee shop coffee brewer go to a restarant closeing auction and buy the real thing.

I seem to like textures. I hate milk and room-temperature water, but I like carbonated water and orange juice with pulp. I also have gotten to like some herbal teas. I do love sugary, sweet drinks however.

I especially like tea. Then hot black coffee. And not much else.

(but milk on cereal is OK).

I'm like this when it comes to milk, but I hate normal tea. I like jasmine or green tea or flavoured teas, but then you don't tend to put milk in them.

I also like sweet drinks such as lemonade, cola, orange etc. I cannot abide beer or lager or anything like that as I pull faces when I drink them, they are nasty. Again, I like my sweet alcoholic beverages.

I love to drink:
Milk
Sometimes Diet sodas (and really that depends on whether my parents allow the caffeine)
COLD water (NEVER warm!)
...is it sad that that is all I can think of? ON TO THE NEXT SECTION!

I hate to drink (and will avoid at all costs):
Coffee (any kind, and I'm not allowed to have it anyway)
Tea
Gatorade (ugh. Just ugh.)
Flavored water
Orange juice
Apple juice
Cranberry juice
Warm milk
Dr Pepper (I suppose I'm sensitive to the flavoring?)
Textured drinks (it is hard for me to drink Diet sodas, but they taste good, so I put up with it if I must)
Tap water
Natural juices (I really, really hate ALL kinds of fruit.)

So my hate list seems to be longer than my like...and I never really realized this until I put it up here :D

That's essentially what alcohol is :)
I've had some fruit juice that I kept in the fridge too long, and it really smelled like alcohol.

Good point. I guess the reason I can tolerate vodka is because it doesn't have that same taste and smell -- at least the good stuff doesn't.

I cannot stand milk or water.

I mostly drink tea and coffee, and I have to filter the water in the kettle for that.

I like beer a lot, but can't stand most spirits (especially vodka, because I know everyone asserts it doesn't have a smell or taste but it DOES).

I can only handle small amounts of soft drink, though I drink a lot of soda water.

I can't stand water. I taste all sorts of crap in it. The only water I once drank that I liked was a very expensive bottle of Voss (rich people water) somebody gifted me.

I hate milk alone. Chocolate flavored milk is okay, so is tea with milk, and coffee with milk. But the milk and the coffee make me feel heavy and drowsy. I much prefer tea. Also I like tea alone and a special herbal infusion from my country alone with lots of sugar.

I hate the soda part (fizz) of soda. I wait for it to get flat or I swish it around in my mouth before swallowing if i have to drink it. I prefer drinking juice like artificially flavored, apple, orange, or mango juice. I found in the US the actual stuff tasted nothing like the fruit it was made off. Orange juice was nasty and bitter. The only brand I could handle was Simply _fruit name_. Where I live now I really like this weird soy juice that's apple flavored. I loved it as a kid and it's still my favorite thing to drink. It looks like milk but tastes like apple and is super healthy.

As for alcohol. I love wine, preferably red and sweet, but I'll drink others. I can't stand beer. It tastes like synthetic piss, along with champagne which is both nasty and fizzy. Vodka is gross as is Rum (except a splash in some drinks). I really love chocolate or caramel flavored cream liqueurs, though, like Baileys.

I've never gotten or wish to be drunk and never felt a buzz or anything. I seem quite resistant were as my mom gets dizzy from the SMELL.

MILK IS FOR BABIES :eew: REAL MEN DRINK BEER

BEER IS PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US.

I like beer in case you haven't worked it out  real beer( not those slu*ty international lagers most people drink) like a fat English ale , or a sweet and sour lambic :)
