What decibel is considered loud? Loud compared to what? It would have to depend on who your company is I guess. One thing I hate is when the room gets louder and louder talking over each other.

I speak too loud, or too soft. When I was younger I spoke too soft. Now I speak loud, and when I'm excited or interested on something, people sometimes think I'm furious (which I'm not, most of the time)
Generally, I go to the extremes but don't know how to speak "normal".

Only when I am angry about something, otherwise I am very quiet and often am criticized for not speaking loud enough.

My husband regularly tells me off for talking too loudly and my daughter has said that even my whispers are loud! I'm not sure whether I talk too loudly all the time though - it seems to be more of an issue if I am talking about something I am passionate about or with failing to regulate my volume according to the circumstances (e.g. when other people are sleeping). I do try to quieten down when he tells me to, but I don't seem to be very successful at it as he usually tells me off again a couple of minutes later. It does occasionally get commented on by other people, but not very often. They might just be being polite though.

As a kid, I used to have terrible problems modulating the volume of my voice. However, I do think many children do, so I am not sure if I had it worse than others. I just remember being reprimanded for it quite a bit.

I do believe I grew out of it. However, in a loud or crowded space I still have some difficulties gauging the volume of my voice and I tend to err on the side of being quieter.

Most of the time I speak too softly and am told to speak up or asked to repeat what I said. However, when it is one of the things I am passionate about I get loud.

I got told I was talking too loudly as a kid all the time. Now I only get told that sometimes, or when trying to whisper.
