I just flat out hate talking on the phone.

I don't usually pace when I'm on the phone (but I suppose that's because we only have one cordless phone, and I don't have a cell phone) but I do find myself looking at whatever's near the phone when I'm having a phone conversation. I honestly think I'm uncomfortable only using one sense at a time. If I'm talking to someone face-to-face, I can look at them and hear their voice. On the phone, you only hear the voice. Maybe that's why I have to look at something at the same time.

Is this an aspie trait?

I do this.

I also do this when playing video games (or at least shift positions) and prefer jobs that I can pace at.

When I'm engaged with something, I move a lot, rub more forefingers against my thumbs, flap my hands, chew on my shirt collar (generally on the computer alone -- never CAUGHT myself doing this one in front of people though I may have in class or at lectures), tap my fingers, shift my weight, tap a foot.

I tend to think through things in a dialogue with myself and move my hands as though talking.

When I was younger, I walked on the tips of my toes.

I suppose these could be stimming.

I'm undiagnosed, FYI.
